ACC- 100 million
SEC - 90 million
Big 10- 80 million
PAC 12- 75 million
Big 12- 38 million

These are my estimates. I am sure if they are inaccurate you will let me know. Either way, the Big 12 lags.

ACC will be much larger than SEC.
They have NY, PA, NC, VA, MA.
SEC only has TX as big (outside common big states of FL, and GA)

Half the population is in the Eastern third of the country. The Big10 area has a huge portion of the population up there in those cold states.

It is like the price of land.

Owning one million acres isn't always worth the same as 10,000.

ACC lags in revenue

Here are 2018 figures from Wikipedia

With Indiana (ND), ACC has approximately 106,000.

Crazy that FL and MI had roughly the same population in 1980.

So if we eventually add Virginia Tech and NC State we're set?

There isn't. I made it real quick. I was procrastinating with some other work I needed to do.

Why didn’t you give the totals by conference?

It's on the second row of the table.

Lol, ok? So, new York is counted as an acc state bc of syracuse alone? Lol that's dumb. Same for the sec getting Texas when we all know there are way more big 12 fans in that state than A&m fans. List is shady. I promise you there are more big 10 fans in NY than acc fans.

Fair enough. Just going by who's technically in the footprint. NYC alone probably has tons of B1G fans. But plenty of ACC fans, too, I'd imagine.

Any suggestions for divvying up Texas?

Also, I did make a mistake including Kansas with Big12. Updating now...

No suggestions on dividing texas. It just shows where the flaws are in the stats. Don't care either way. Just my opinion on why the poll isn't accurate.
