I do think Bama deserves to top the list because they earned it by winning the title and going undefeated.
However, if not for the blown game against Ole Miss, that Florida team is talked about as one of the best of all time....nationally. That team absolutely blew out the SEC competition, beat a very good Bama team in the SEC Championship without one of the best players of the decade and then shut down one of the most prolific offenses in Oklahoma to win a title.
What could have been, but a title is still a title.

I would place UF as SEC team of the decade, not Alabama.

I think you are misunderstanding the point of the list. It's is not saying that Alabama was the best team throughout the entire decade. It's is saying that the '09 Bama team was the best individual team in the conference during that 10 year period.

1. 08 Florida
2. 03 LSU

I would think those 3 and '04 AU would definitely be the top-4 in some order. The big reason '09 Bama is tops in my mind is that they accomplished several things that the others did not, while the others didn't accomplish anything that '09 Bama did not.
