ESPN Smoking Some Good Stuff

ESPN Ranking

I would feel good about the Aggies chances against highly ranked Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Washington.

LSU ranked 17th? WTF?

No Kentucky?

ESPN smoking crack.

They just have a shitty formula for their rankings

That's 247 sports.

Goes to show how much they know.

Mississippi State in the top 10 with 5 losses?

Lol. Florida not in the top 10 at all?

Smoking crack is probably true.

How in the actual frick is Miss State ranked 8th? This may honestly be one of the worst polls I've ever seen.

It's like they ignored the bowl losses.

Florida shot a huge load on Michigan's face, and that didn't seem to change the rankings. See also, Georgia and Texas.

It's not a poll. It's a formula that no one takes seriously because of how bad it is.

No one thinks Georgia is 3rd. I promise you.

re: ESPN Smoking Some Good Stuff
It's not ESPN per se, it's their simulation formula. It seems almost unique among the dozens of ranking formulae in that it's one that actually tends to get worse with more evidence to factor in.

re: ESPN Smoking Some Good Stuff
Lmao, they have us ranked higher than LSU, Florida, a&m, Missouri, and Auburn. Even over Iowa, the bowl opponent who defeated us. Only Georgia and Alabama are ranked higher than MSU in the SEC. I like this poll...

I think it is a great formula. It is beautiful like a white doublewide with a maroon door, and miniature picket fence around it.

It’s a joke. We beat 4 of those teams and had a better record than the teams we beat.

Kentucky wasn’t ranked in their FPI all season. It’s a shite system.
