Real dynasties have no bearing on sports dynasties. The Patriots winning 3 out of 4 from 02 to 05 was a dynasty. Nebraska winning 3 of 4 from 94-97 was a dynasty. Your M.O. seems to be to discredit Alabama at any point possible, so this discussion is probably pointless.

Well, as of now, it is 2 in 5 years, which is very good. There are a couple of other programs with those kinds of recent numbers.
If it turns out to be 3 in 5 years, that will be more impressive. Even then, however, what if it turns out to be 3 in 10 years down the road? Doesn't seem quite as great then, does it? This is why people talk about dynasties 10-20 years later.

How many people were calling the Yankees a dynasty after they won a third WS in four years in 1999? And the Yankees were only good for about five seasons up to that point similar to where Bama is now.

I'm not discrediting shite. Bama is by far the best thing going in CFB right now. You're just being a little bitch about the fact that I don't think the word dynasty should be thrown around so much.
This includes the Patriots and the Yankees. Just because you go on a 5 year run doesn't make you a dynasty. It means you went on a great 5 year run.

People will talk about the Patriots dynasty for the rest of professional football. Just last week ESPN declared Nebraska to be a dynasty on the 90s.

No it wasn't. That was a great 4 year run. Your time frame is very short and you're only using this time frame in order to call Bama a dynasty.

Im not being a "little bitch" about anything. I dont know why you are getting so heated about this. Its just a conversation. Whether you like it or not, if we win in 2 weeks this will be a dynasty.

If you think the Patriots were a dynasty because you saw it on ESPN, then IDK what to tell you.
Except that you're a sheep. You probably also think Skip Bayless knows a lot about the NBA too.

Nebraska (1994-97) Coach Tom Osborne It sounds funny to say now, but Tom Osborne used to be criticized for not winning the big game. He had the unenviable task of following Nebraska legend Bob Devaney, who won two national titles before retiring in 1973. Osborne never had a season with fewer than nine wins, but he suffered some high-profile losses against Oklahoma early in his career and fell short in the 1984 and 1994 Orange Bowls with national titles on the line. When he finally broke through, he did so in a huge way, leading the Cornhuskers to three national championships in four seasons, going 49-2 from 1994 to 1997. -- Brian Bennett QB Tommie Frazier Tommie Frazier was named the MVP of three straight bowl games in which the national title was on the line, and he led the team to back-to-back national championships in 1994 and 1995. Frazier repeatedly rose to the occasion on the grandest of stages, memorably powering the Huskers to a comeback win over Miami in the 1995 Orange Bowl despite missing the previous seven games with a blood clot. His 75-yard touchdown run the following year against Florida is remembered as one of the greatest plays in Nebraska history. He finished with a 33-3 record as a starter. -- Brian Bennett More Cornhuskers Why it started? From 1987-93, Nebraska met either Florida State or Miami in a bowl six times -- and lost all six. Nebraska bludgeoned people in the regular season but couldn't match the Florida schools' speed in January. Osborne changed his approach and put more speed on the field, epitomized when he recruited Frazier out of Bradenton, Fla. Why it ended? Osborne retired after his third and final title following the 1997 season. His handpicked successor, Frank Solich, won 42 games his first four seasons but couldn't recapture the magic and was fired after a 9-3 season in 2003. Did you know? The 1995 Cornhuskers outscored opponents 638-174 and beat four teams that finished in the AP Top 10 by an average of more than 30 points each. They averaged 399.8 rushing yards per game. -- Brian Bennett

Do you always resort to name calling when you've been bested?

I'm not "heated". I could just see the butthurt in your post and called you out.
And to call your team a dynasty after just 5 years is pretty ignorant.

Saying you're a sheep because you believe everything that ESPN says is not name calling.
Maybe you should use a Webster and look up "dynasty." It is certainly revolved around rulers and families or groups.
Just because you came up with your own definition of football dynasties doesn't make it right.

Did or did you not go on full defense mode when I stated that I thought 5 years was too short of a time period to use word like dynasty?
I also said that the rest of the country probably agreed that they would be a dynasty, but that my mind thought about real dynasties when I heard the word.
In other words I said it was my opinion. Then the butthurt from you ensued.

I haven't come up with a definition of anything.

You're a pretty decent troll. Ill know to ignore you from now on. Thanks for educating this noob.

True but it seems they have generally got done was necessary. AJ's end of game drive sucks.
