I'm partial to Berry for obvious reasons, but I think he may even have a struggle to beat Taylor Mays (a senior) for the Thorpe.

Well Berry is the better player obviously but Im like you those sports writers will do anything to screw a UT player over for an award. Berry is the best defensive player in the country period! What he proved with a team that was terrible last year was remarkable. He was the only bright spot all year.
