Players like Pike need the pads to show the other side of their game. I remember in the spring of 2010 a future Heisman qb looked pretty average in a scrimmage where he wasn't allowed to run. I in no way am saying Pike is on the same level or even in the same universe as Cam Newton because that would be stupid but he is much more of a running qb at this point and camps like these do not showcase his skills. Even if he never plays a down of qb in college he should be at least a 4 star based on his athleticism alone.
