That's how much you average when Mizzou is "good"??

Why is an Ole Miss fan talking about filling up a stadium? Or referring to anyone being "Mediocre".

Lol. The envy Arkansas shows towards Mizzou is already incredibly SEC worthy, that's going to be a great rivalry.

Also, to give this troll any validity is laughable.

ECU was at 49k.
FWIW Ole Piss was at 52k.

This doesn't help Mizzou's argument. Actually, it hurts it.

MS is a tiny state with two major football programs. NC is a decent sized state where ECU is at least third fiddle. MO is a fairly large state where Mizzou has has basically no competition as far as college fan bases are concerned. ECU and OM are doing better than Mizzou relatively, especially when you consider how bad OM has been and how good Mizzou has been compared to their status quo. No idea about ECU.

Mizzou has plenty of competition. The Kansas City Cheifs and the St.Louis Rams

I said college.

You think the Jags cut into the UF's fan base? The Saints into LSU's? The Falcons into UGA's?

Most UF and UGA fans couldn't name 5 players on the Jags and Falcons, respectively. The Saints are in a slightly different situation, but not by much.

And the cardinals too....not to mention that roughly 80% of Missouri's population is 2 hours or more from Columbia. Not that I'm saying that's a good excuse (its not) but unfortunately a lot of fans don't want to drive 2 hours to watch the team unless we're having a great season..

Busey-- Missouri is a pro sports 1st state unfortunately. We have hundreds of thousands of passionate college fans, but there's hundreds of thousands more pro sports fans. The other 5 million are just casual fans.

I don't disagree with that. Their Athletic programs are a push but East Carolina is much closer to the SEC in culture than is Missouri. Missouri is a lot like Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, and Minnesota in culture and in athletic prowess. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Missouri in the Big 10 in a few years.

The culture along the Carolina coast has a strong US military presence, it is very transient and not a "southern" as one may assume

I've been to both places several times so that just goes to show you how disconnected and different Missouri is from the rest of the SEC.

If you had really visited both places you would have noticed that East Carolina is not Clemson it is a commuter school in a corridor that is no longer southern thanks to the US Military.

In other news, College of Charleston declared a better fit for the SEC than Texas A&M. Film at eleven.

A & M is a good fit, Missouri isn't. Film isn't necessary but common sense is.
