Trade ECU for Ole Miss in the West. It would make the West even tougher.

They are comparing markets by state without dividing the number of D 1 schools in the state ? Doesn't Duke,Wake,State,ECU,UNC divide viewership ? Troll reporting at it's finest.

Exactly. Good lord. Mizzou is the ONLY D1 football school in a state of 6 mil. Although it was a Carolina newspaper trying to slander the competition so it was to be expected.

Using that logic means adding A&M has delivered the entire Texas TV market to the SEC

Bingo.
Mizzou has 80%+ of the Missouri market. If ECU has more than 5% of that market, I would be shocked. Duke and UNC absolutely run that show.

Cool mid-80s Mizzou pic.
ECU seats ~35k.
Faurot seats 71k.

Touche, they expanded to 50k.

Doesn't change the fact that ECU is totally dominated in its own market by about five other D1 schools and this 'journalist' doesn't even manage to factor it.

We averaged 63k last year.
ECU was at 49k.
FWIW Ole Piss was at 52k.

Congrats, beat us in attendance at the end of one of the worst 2 year stretches in our program's history.

There are almost no Duke fans in NC. Other than that, I agree.

ECU has a MUCH bigger fan base than Duke.
