This whole Lattimore vs. Knile thing goes all the way back to their recruitment out of high school. Latt was the #1 overall player, Davis was coming off a lackluster senior year because of a broken ankle.

If Knile would have been healthy he would have certainly been a 5 star and would have been on the national stage sooner. The way it is, Latt is already a superstar and Davis is widely considered to be coming out of nowhere.

he's just not better than Mingo or Montgomery.

Except he had more sacks than both and close to the same number of TFL in less games.

Your list seems very balanced and not at all homer.

Todd McShay's mock draft with them both going top 10 says hello.

I don't see too much wrong with the list in the OP. Maybe Simon on HM but that's about it

Lattimore has more hype, but Stacey is just as good. Lattimore is coming off an injury as well. Ive atleast seen news of Knile Davis being fully recovered from his injury...havent heard to much about Lattimore recently...did he play is spring game?

While I agree they're both top material, Todd McShay only had like one Bamma player in his mock, right? I haven't seen another one that didn't have at least three, most have 5, some have more.

Im not sure Swope can put up the numbers he did last year against the LSUs, Bamas, Florida, etc defensive backs.

Plus he has a new QB, who hasn't even been determined yet

My reasoning may seem a little homerish, but Gragg has a coaching change to deal with. I think Williams will be the main target for AJ this upcoming season. Gragg had 41 catches to 16 for Williams last year but they averaged about the same in YPC (Gragg 12.6ypc and Williams 11.9ypc)and they both only had 2TD catches. So, with a possible change in offense philosophy in Arky, meaning less balls for Gragg and Williams being more of a target for Bama...I think I can place Williams over Gragg....its atleast debatable.

It's not even close to debatable.

I doubt most SEC fans even know Williams' first name.

He only had 16 catches for 190 yds and 2 TDs

If you want to make it debatable you can include almost every single TE in the SEC because most had similar numbers to those that Williams put up.

Well he is a Bama fan, they have the best player at every single position on the field usually.
