It’s the only real comparison. Clemson hasn’t faced a defense like Alabama’s since they played Auburn. It took some perfect throws and incredible catches for Clemson to get 14 points all while Auburn’s offense was sputtering along.
It’s not like Alabama is favored big. I imagine this will be a low scoring close game considering both defenses are elite.
