The depth of the LSU D would be unreal.

Yes. I need you to go on. I know of your skill positions. Give me a look at the D.

The person I replied to said Saban players. If I was making a team from the last 15 years I'd definitely go with Alexander.

I'm just glad UT is at least in this debate.

I confidently think that UT would field a team that would compete for the best of the SEC in the past 15 years

Bama defense 2 deep in said time frame

DE: Marcel Dareus, Mark Anderson
DE: Wallace Gilberry, Antwan Odom
DT: Terrance Cody, Josh Chapman
DT: Jessie Williams, Kindal Moorehead
OLB: Courtney Upshaw, Adrian Hubbard
OLB: Demeco Ryans, Brooks Daniels
MLB: Rolando McClain, Freddie Roach
MLB: CJ Mosley, Dont'a Hightower
CB: Kareem Jackson, Javier Arenas
CB: Dee Milliner, Dre Kirkpatrick
FS: HaHa Clinton-Dix, Charlie Peprah
SS: Mark Barron, Roman Harper

Stacked. The guys that were left off could field a better D than 1/4 of the teams in the league

There are actually several front 7's that would shut them completely down considering Adams and Taylor would be the outside weapons.

I don't see anyone having a better or deeper LB crew than Bama.

A good spinoff thread would list the best position units during this time frame.

I was waiting for someone else to do a full list because I'm lazy. Some changes I would make, assuming we go back to '98 (15 years):

WR: Reggie Brown and Fred Gibson for Momass and Malcolm.

TE: Leonard Pope

OT: Sturdivant for Nick Jones (he wasn't even a tackle)

OG: Clint Boling for Velasco

DT: Marcus Stroud and Richard Seymour
DE: Move Geno to end opposite Pollack

S: Sean Jones over Rambo

K: Billy Bennett

I promise I'm not talking crap, but where did you get some of these people? Some of them are out of position and some (malcolm mitchell, rambo) just don't really make any sense at all on the list

You've forgotten Sanford, Palmer, Powe on D.

Have Wallace, spurlock and Dex at wr and Bolden at RB.

Georgia is really the only team that could make an argument.

Jarvis Jones
Thomas Davis (I count him because he's a LB now)
Odell Thurman
Justin Houston
Rennie Curan
Alec Ogletree

And I know I'm forgetting a few good ones
