If he stays true to form it’s going to be 1450ish yards and 24 rushing TDs in 12 games. And a decent Vandy game and playoff showing and he can Tie Derrick Henry’s 28 TDs in a single season. Bama played 15 games that year.

yeah, dude is putting up a special year. But lets not ignore he is the only back with more than 200 carries in the SEC . Dude has 231 and the next back is Jarquez Hunter with 174. Hunter also has a much better ypc and is only 162 yard behind

You are such an idiot.

It seems to be rampant with posters who have either word "dawg" in their name, or the silly beside their name.

A lot of times it goes to the player from the better program…Tennessee is a joke of a program so it will go to the kid from Iowa.

Let that be a lesson to all Louisiana kids who go out of state to below-average football programs…kid should have taken his preferred walk-on offer from LSU

Boise ST RB at 275 carries, UNC RB at 259, Iowa RB at 223 carries, Sampson 231 carries. He’s on the lower end of carries of finalist.

I guess the Vols should have left him in to pad yardage stats more often.

Why didn’t he pad his stats in Athens?

Why didn’t your mom abort you? It was legal then.

I asked a fair question to the point you made. It wasn’t a good point. You reacted like a child.

No you didn’t. You tried a weak troll. By the way, despite being dinged up Sampson still had 100 yards and a TD vs uga

Why didn’t he get more carries vs uga?

In reality, he was largely ineffective outside of that 1 td run, just like in 2023. The vols got your hopes up AGAIN only to get destroyed 31-7 to end the game.

Why are you including passing stats for a rushing award?

It's 2024, not 1960. It's the award for the best running back and running backs also catch the ball in today's football.

Two of the 3 other RB's have about the same number of receiving yards as Sampson. They're all in the low 100's. One was in the high 200's. that does improve his ability as a RB compared to the others.

Sampson has 200 fewer yards than the lowest of those 3 (total and just rushing). He's tied in YPC with the worst of those 3. He's only ahead of 1 of them in TD's.

Like I said, his argument is just about quality of opponent and really only with the UNC back (the one with fewer TD's). I'd personally pick him over that guy for the 3rd spot... but neither is winning the award. Jeanty's stats are way too far ahead even though he's playing in a weaker conference.

Plus he showed out against Oregon when they played. 192 yards and 3 TD against the #1 team in college football. He also blew up a WSU team that was a P5 team last season that is 8-3. 259 yards and 4 TD.

The other guys aren't going to win it.

Congrats?

UK's RB had 98 yards vs UGA and UK scored 12.
Auburn's RB had 91 and AU scored 13.
UMASS's RB put up 107 and UMASS scored 10.
Tennessee's RB put up 100 and they scored 17.

Relying on a RB and them only managing around 100 yards is a great way for an opponent's offense to score fewer than 20 points against UGA. It's not really a point worth bragging on.

Regardless of the final score, getting 100 yards against a quality defense is always brag worthy.

you should know better

All the other RB's have one more game too. If they all stay true to form their lead on Sampson in yards will increase.

He has almost 2100 yards in 11 games and 27 TDs

He had 200 and 3 TDs against the #1 team in the country.

He’s good. Really doesn’t matter who the other finalists are. He’s going to win the award easily
