We overestimate sometimes how much a teams on field success or lack of it affects these kids decisions. A lot of teams have had great recruiting classes off a bad year. There's playing time and there's ego, this kid's probably gets told how great he is 18 times a day, he probably thinks if they had me they wouldn't have lost to Kentucky, etc.

Early playing time and a new staff typically has a lot of energy and these players feed off of energy. Just because a school has a down year doesn't mean they won't get top recruits it just means it is more difficult to get some as some only want "championships". As one recruit said every school that speaks to you is 2 years away from a national championship. It is more about the program's ability to showcase their abilities and talents and get them to the next level.

So this also helps to confirm the "Lache to LSU" silent commit.

No because your opinion is totally biased. I guess that's the reason ESPN ranked him as the #1 RB in the country.

Yeah and I saw him get waylay-ed by Heber Springs High School -- he was shut down like he was nothing because no one was there -- Very Impressive

Name it. Only 1 team shut him down his SR year and it wasn't a Florida team.

Alright well he has said the following

Petrino has SHOWN him NO LOVE
Soft commit to Auburn but wants to take all his visits
early said he would have loved to play for Nutt

things we have
4* Ronnie Wingo
Dennis Johnson
5* Boderick Green
Big Tex coming in

so he would be the icing on the cake for our back field...

Petrino said publicly he wants the big backs

see the things that are in the way and why we are not as excited as you all-- which is probably why he will be at Auburn......

“If a coach wants me to come on a visit, I will,” Dyer said. “I’m going to commit to Auburn, but the recruiting process will continue.”

Two points about this quote. First of all, if you announce who you are going to commit to isn't that technically a commitment? I could understand if he said "I'm going to sign with Auburn", but why would you announce your intentions to announce your intentions of going to play for a certain school. Second, why is he committing to anyone if by his own admission the recruiting process will continue and thus make his commitment meaningless?

Is he Bo Jackson? Very likely not those type athletes come around once per decade if even that often. He has the ability to be a very good running back, will he be the top RB. who knows. But he is a good running back that can be an every down between the tackles runner and has enough size to contribute in his freshmen year which is what we needed.

because that is just how he roles... He wants the Houston Nutt's of the world kissing his arse and making sure everything is ok --

Showing him the LOVE that he needs.

give me a break.....

Sorry, I forgot Escambia didn't play at home. It was Irvington if my memory serves me correctly. I live in that part of the Panhandle and watched a lot of Trent's games. Also I think Pace and Pine Forest held him up pretty decent.

Yep, Alma Bryant from Irvington held him to 84 yards on 14 carries, a season low. He did pretty good against Pace and Pine Forest considering they were the top 2 teams in the district. A combined total of 256 yards on 42 carries with 4 TDs.
