Perfectly built for that offense. If UT has quality receivers again this year they should light up the scoreboard.
Pretty insane to come out of the dredges of the SEC to suddenly have the #1 offense in the nation in both PPG and YPG. And with a very balanced attack. And that is with an SEC schedule, including UGA.
We have Squirrel White returning (he's a speedster and caught a lot of TDs from Milton last year), Bru Mcoy (absolute bully with the ball and as a blocker but 'slow' comparatively), Ramel Keyton whose absolutely brilliant catch vs UF last year spurred a TD drive before the half that was an absolute momentum changer and Dont’e Thornton the transfer from Oregon who is a jumbo sized speedster.
Having Squirrel and Thornton on the field at the same time should be an absolute nightmare for even great DB corps. Donte is a 4.4 guy who is also 6'5 and 205. If he can hang on to Milton's passes (and they are ridiculous - ripped open Ramel's hand in practice a year or two ago) he will absolutely feast.
And yeah, Heupel def. rewrote expectations when it comes to rebuilds. Now we have to build up a defense and that might take some doing.

That was the point, distance, not trying to complete a pass. He was out throwing the WR.
Too bad he also does that nearly every time when playing an actual game, where the point is to complete a pass.

Fitty cent head.
Actually, no. The reason Milton won the job initially was because he picked up the offense faster than Hooker did. And for all the shite we gave Joe about overthrows it was as much the WR corps as it was him. When Hendon came in he had the same issues until the WR corps finally came together.

Sure that’s true if you only watched him play in the 2021 season. Not surprised.

Overthrew the receiver.
It's cool he can throw far though.

Go here. That first pass is vs Clemson but the whole reel is filled with 50+ yard TD passes.

and it went 5 yards over the receiver's hands. Should fit right in at Tennessee.

I can throw it further than that if I wanted to. I just never wanted to……

That’s a pretty vivid imagination you have.

Yeah, I didn’t mean to make light of the field you studied - I apologize and appreciate your gracious response.
No biggie. Most folks think it is PE/PT type stuff. It was a hobby with college credits for me attempting to better my skillset in the sports and games I enjoyed. It was fascinating to be able to better understand what I could and could not do and what I needed to do to improve myself.

Very impressive against UT-Martin, Ball State, Akron, and Bowling Green in garbage time.

I will give him credit for that game. He surprised me there.

It was a big step but not one that took us completely by surprise because his issues were clearly resolved in his backup work. The year before last, he'd have overthrown every one of those passes. Some of that would've been on the WRs (when he came they were a new corps too) but a lot was on him too.
I have a degree of confidence with him that I didn't have prior to last season. Every one of us was nervous after his first few games and that stuck until we saw him drop accurate passes consistently. He's still a bit weak on shorter throws but he's cleaned up a lot.

Big arm now is he accurate …. I am sure he will go high in draft now that Allen who was the least accurate passer every drafted in 1st round is now accurate and a star.

When you're throwing it to the other team, doesn't matter.
