the list of College Football's most played rivalries. With the elimination of the Big 10's season, if the DSOR takes place, we'll close the gap by another game.
Most played rivalry games at the end of the 2010 season:
1. Wisconsin vs. Minnesota- 120 games
2. Missouri vs. Kansas- 119 games
3. Texas vs. Texas A&M- 118 games
4. Nebraska vs. Kansas- 117 games
5t. N. Carolina vs. Virginia- 115 games
5t. Miami (OH) vs. Cincinnati- 115 games
7t. Georgia vs. Auburn- 114 games
7t. Oregon vs. Oregon St.- 114 games
By virtue of getting to play twice in one season back in 2017, the DSOR had already moved up the list. Expansion also ended several rivalries above.
Now with the BIG 10, the MAC, and likely the PAC 10 cancelling their seasons, here is how the list would look at the end of the 2020 season if the SEC and ACC are able to pull off an entire year:
Projected Most played rivalry games at the end of the 2020 football season:
1. Wisconsin vs. Minnesota- 129 games
2t. Georgia vs. Auburn- 125 games
2t. N. Carolina vs. Virginia- 125 games
4. Miami (OH) vs. Cincinnati- 124 games
5. Oregon vs. Oregon St.- 123 games
6t. Purdue vs. Indiana- 122 games
6t. Stanford vs. Cal- 122 games
8. Army vs. Navy- 121 games
9. Missouri vs. Kansas- 120 games
10. Texas vs. Texas A&M- 118 games
Who knows... if Georgia and Auburn were to meet in Atlanta, that gap would be just 3 games.

Finally a post both UGA and Auburn fans can all agree with

I just love that after all of the Barn hand-wringing and pearl clutching about having to play both Bama and UGA within a 3 week period in November, DSOR is likely going to be in Nov, anyway.
