My suggestion would be you guys go ask Eli where that came from,
That’s world-class parsing. He didn’t deny it came from A&M. Just made you think he did.

He could have said, "We practice with ultra loud speakers."
He didn't.
He did say that. He even went into great detail explaining WHY speakers were so much harder to deal with. I can tell you have no idea what you are talking about and didn't even watch the clip.

That was the dumbest thing he’s probably ever said.

But he wasn't. that isn't even a fair fight. Standing right in front of high powered, high efficient speakers is always going to blow away crowd noise capabilities.
Mizzou would have gotten their butts kicked by A&M regardless of crowd noise. Elko is coaching a different A&M team this year. They need to improve but he has the talent.

I noticed you didn't respond to my comment about "practice is actually louder."

To make a comment like that then come out and get a delay of game and several false starts in your first couple of series deserves ridicule.
We do that at home in front of crowds of 30k busy crushing their popcorn and walking-tacos.

Because it’s an intangible of the game that can’t be replicated with PA speakers.
That doesn’t mean anything regarding the noise level, though.

I did. Watch the clip. He goes into why practice (the speakers located right next to him) are louder and more difficult to deal with.
Ever find it funny that even with a stadium going nuts the center can still hear a QB clap?

Are you ignoring what is happening? It wouldn’t be the first time that some dumbfrick on the rant did it. He wasn’t comparing an average practice on a practice field to Kyle Field dumbshit. He was comparing a practice specifically simulated to be louder than opposing fields.
He shouldn’t have said it because it gives bulletin board material and he’s not a freshman. But he wasn’t saying Kyle field is quiet.

So, are you saying he didn't have an attitude and wasn't saucing The Twelfth Man? Serious question, not rhetorical.
Posted on 10/7/24 at 2:35 pm to FootballFrenzy
I don’t think he was. He doesn’t have some history of trash talking. He’s not a quote machine.
It’s ironic that this is being used in a thread where the OP is insinuating Drinkwitz was making locker room material. When that’s exactly what this is.

He clearly wasn't. Watch the whole video instead of just taking click bait takes from your fellow idiot fans. He said and did nothing offensive or dismissive to A&M.

Mizzou is the only team that can play Aggy and be the one you cringe at.

It's the way he worded it that's the problem. "Practice is actually louder" is dumb. He's comparing speakers to 100,000+ people.

Drink is a strange little lesbian.
Look at him, probably got stuffed in lockers his whole life.

Maybe you don’t know how speakers work. Have you seen them at concerts?

You still haven't addressed his word choice.
Words matter. He made it seem like noise wasn't going to be an issue; that's a fact. He displayed no respect for The Twelfth Man in that little interview.
If you can address that, I will change my mind, but so far, you haven't. You've just been talking about how right he is that speakers are super loud (which I don't dispute, btw).

I certainly did address his word choice. 126 dBs is child’s play for a speaker system. You can get a Bluetooth speaker that loud.
Did he address it in a way that A&M was going to pretend was disrespectful to their home field? Sure. Did he intend to do that? It’s unlikely. If you can find a bunch of trash-talking quotes from him, I’m all ears. But that’s not who he is.
Pretend he disrespected you if you need that to jack off to or whatever.

In other words, no.
A&M fans aren't the only ones who took notice of his interview, by the way.

Yeah. I’m sure the media would never take a sound bite to hype up a story that wasn’t intended that way by the interview subject. Excellent point.
You’re a whole sea of dumb takes. Keep them coming.
