Been drinking beer straight out the can or bottle on campus for 20+ years and never had a problem. I behave moderately well. I believe its a wet campus anyway. Just don't be a complete jackass and you should be perfectly fine.

If you're tailgating, you're fine. If you're walking around, put it in a cup. The cops won't care at all unless you're running around slurring "tiger bait" and puking on the RV types.
