I'm going to be rocking the red and blue pants this weekend. Also going with my bowtie. Can't wait.

I think the whole popped collar thing is a myth. I've maybe seen 2 people in the 2 years I've been at LSU with their collar popped and they weren't fraternity guys. I do know a KE at Ole Miss that pops his collar though.
and on the topic of dressing up for games, I wish more LSU students would uphold this southern tradition. Bowties, bright pants w/ logos, and some of the shite fans wear at Ole Miss is just too much though.

i feel the same way. im not in a frat but still dress nice for games. but many students consider this "fratting up" for the game. but i just tell them that the big ten called they want their jerseys back

I agree, I think LSU and Florida are the only two SEC schools that don't do it.
I dress up for games, I used to be in a fraternity, and I go to LSU. Like everybody else I still tailgate and yell my arse off for the Tigers.
Also, this thread is fricking gay. Who starts a thread about what other guys are wearing and criticizes their fashion. This isn't fricking queer eye for the straight guy. Its not like July where there is nothing to talk about, THIS IS frickING FOOTBALL SEASON arse HOLES.
The popped called thing is GDI. I know we balled every kid that popped his collar, that shite is extremely gay.

What is, popping a collar or "balling" a guy?

I don't care if ole miss fans dress like they're going to a wedding for a game. I care that they think they're "classy" because they dress like they're going to a wedding for a game.

come on fellas, no one at Ole Miss pops their collar. That is such a myth. I go here and even the biggest douche bags don't "pop" their collar. And as far as the kids dressing up, if you see kids in ties they are more than likely freshman. No one I know that is 2nd year or higher wears much more than a collared shirt and pants. frick, I wear jeans now.
I see a lot more of that "collar popping" in Baton Rouge when I come home.

"Popping" your collar is the international sign for "I like boys". "Balling" someone is when somebody goes through rush and you cut them because they are terrible. Hence when I was active in a fraternity we would "ball" any guy that "popped" his collar because he is probably a fagot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's b/c OM is majority Greek...I was in a Fraternity at LSU so I know all about the "fratastic" look, but the people in the Grove take the "fratastic" look way too serious...whatever happened to a good ol' pair of levis, polo, and a pair of shite-kickers?
