Im not so sure. I think Alabama drops off a bit, Tennessee will be a little bit above average, Georgia loses a lot. LSU will improve by a game or two at the most.

Florida looks to be really good and Ole Miss returns many players so they should be pretty good.

Thoughts?

7-1 in bowls with a National Champion in a down year?

I'll take it.

Down year? What about the down year USC will experience without a proven QB and a rebuilt D?

Right, as long as a bunch of average teams win their bowl games and Florida takes care of the biggest chokers on the face of the Earth, count the year a success.

Cornholio, last year USC lost 8 players from offense(including the QB) and 4 players from the defense.

The drop off was a 12 win season.

Thats right GoBig, they were 5-2 with powerhouse SEC West Champs getting their tooth kicked in by Utah.

Utah, the team that beat the team that beat USC and whose conference went, if not mistakened, 6-2 against the PAC...

SO WE WERE ACTUALLY 6-2 IN BOWLS WITH A BCSNC. MAYBE MAYBE A DOWN YR COMPARED TO THE PAST BUT WE SHOWED WE ARE STILL THE PREMIER LEAGUE.

Are your intentions to flame the SEC, or to have a rational discussion? I can't honestly tell from your comments so far.

To shortly answer your question, I believe the SEC will be better next year.

A "down year" for the SEC where a team with at least one loss earns the right to play for the crystal while USC is left on the outside looking in, once again.

If this year was a down year for the SEC, I won't dispute that.

But, what hope does that give the other conferences in the future?

Clearly this is impossible. The SEC was horrible this year, thus explaining Alabama's record.

Or that's what the LSU fans say when they talk to us.

:beatdeadhorse: USC may have had the same amount of losses as UF prior to the BCS game but UF had 1 more win (SEC CG vs #1 team in nation)

You Gators were a good team this past season and might have beaten USC had we played. But instead you played a weaker team built on hype with no defense when it counted.

Enjoy your Cubic Zirconia trophy. It's no diamond, because it's not defnitive. Unless you beat Utah, or USC (and maybe even Texas) you've proven nothing.

Your bowl win was a better showing than you had in your loss against Michigan last season, but in my opinion you weren't the best team in college football.

If you are going to bring up this, do you admit that USC's 2004 trophy is not complete because they did not play Auburn?
