I’ve heard it played in both stadiums.
I think it’s never really caught on as a “tradition” because it’s not a good sing-a-long song like Dixieland delight, sweet caroline, etc. Hard to sing guitar riffs, no matter how iconic they are

They play it at State games usually during the first tv timeout of the first quarter when they do the "cowbell cam." It's a nice selection since it's a song that prominently features the cowbell.
