Chubb vs Louisville in the bowl game ring a bell?

266 yds/2 TD!

Still not good enough!! Even though Louisville had the #2 run D last year. LF's performance against AU will go down as one of the best of all time!!

I just looked it up and that would have won the 1980 Olympics. But yeah, he didn't have world class speed

I mean, it probably helped that 50+ countries including the US boycotted the 80 games , but Herschel's best chance to make it would have been in 84, and he would have been damn close to making the relay team if he didn't turn pro (only amateurs could participate in the olympics).

To say Herschel didn't have world class speed is absolutely ridiculous.

So far. There's a long way to go. No single back is outperforming Fournette currently but that could also change. Sufficeth to say that UGA and LSU appear to have the two best rushing attacks in the SEC at this point. Would love to see the two square off in December.

we're talking 100m, not 60m and even back in '83, carl lewis had a sub 10sec time. herschel was way fast, no doubt about it but, world class speed is a bit of a stretch. and yes, 5 pounds does make a difference. even though herschel was faster, fournette still has a chance to have a better overall career. btw, i like herschel. i think he's great on and off the field.

We are talking about speed. 100 m isnt the only way to measure it, and 60 m makes plenty of sense considering the game of football. Even if you want to ignore it, there is a much bigger diff between 0.6 seconds on 100 m and 5 lbs. It would make a lot more sense to compare LF to Gurley.

so you don't think there's a chance? at all? you people have gotten so unreasonable about this.

He has the same chance as elite RB's like Gurley, Chubb, Ingram, and McFadden did.

I guess you missed the part of my post where I said I wasn't talking about stat wise. Chubb was not dominant in the way that LF was against Auburn. Auburn was literally scared shitless to tackle the guy. He ran over about 6-7 guys in that game. Everybody talks about those two dominant runs but he had about 3 others where he completely dismantled a couple guys. Knocked one Auburn player so hard and far back his own player broke his fall. That dude's world got fricked on that play. It was the most dominant performance from a player I have ever seen and could have easily had 300+ that game. Not taking away anything from Chubb's performance because I know that dude is a monster in his own right but Fournette's trumps anything by far

Fournette has had one stellar game against a bad defense. Unless you define "best" as backs whose last name start with an "f", I would chose Chubb Michel Gurley and of course Hershel over him until he can prove it for more than a game.

By one game Greyson Lambert is one of the best Qbs that has ever lived. See how it sounds.

Georgia fans come absolutely unhinged about LF7.

Meh, it's no different for LSU fans when we say Chubb is better.

I never said Fournette is not a good back. Do you watch football? How many 100 yard games has Chubb had, only after Gurley was suspended and splitting time with Michel.

Case closed. I would love to see UGA and LSU in Atlanta. Lots of talent there.

That can easily be changed to LSU fans and Chubb.

And yet here you find yourself in a thread about Georgia running backs.

Wtf are you talking about. You very clearly stated that LF needed to prove it in more than one game and I proved that he has. Are you mildly retarded?

The facts:
Chubb is a lot of fun to watch. In an ordinary year he is in the conversation about best back in college.

This isn't an ordinary year. This year there is a once per decade back at LSU.

In 50 years no one will remember Chubb

In 50 years they will be making documentaries about Fournette.

Georgia probably has some very fine backs waiting in the wings. LSU does too.
