Bama never had a legit claim after losing to OU.

Does your teams inability to beat Bama throw manure on yours?

Just what are we claiming???

Bama lost to two 6-6 teams (one is now 7-6 and the other 6-7).

So...Bama pulls the big upset over DaddyDawg this year and claims that's enough to get'em in the CFP.

Who's looking up at who now, Bama?

It shed light on the devasting impact of wholesale portal transfers and is consistent with the SEC being down overall with Bama, LSU, A&M, OU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn and even Georgia having below expectations seasons.

What claim? That they should have been put in based on recruiting rankings and that they maybe would have “lost by less”.

This is the worst Alabama team in 16 years, no one from Alabama has made any CFP claims

Yep. Navy has the same record, but it is better against a common opponent. Navy should have gotten into the playoffs before Bama.

Yeah, at this point with the portal and so many draftable players sitting out, you can't glean anything at all from bowl games except how some backups may look for next season.

They're more preseason practice games for next season than anything else.

Indeed, Georgia was favored in that game.

Indeed, it was an upset.

Indeed, Georgia took Bama way too lightly in that game.

Indeed, it will not happen again.

Indeed, it will not happen again EVAH!

Let Navy have their day. And yes, we beat a very good Bama team.

Check the rosters as to when OU played BAMA and when Navy played OU…..

Then answer this..do you really understand football or do you just look at win/loss like all average-inept college football fans

Side note: Has been nice pushing thUGA’s stuff in for 15+ yrs

Depends on whose schedule you're comparing Alabama's to. Indiana is a non-starter because there's no way anyone can reasonably argue for a 3 loss team over a 1 loss team but what about SMU?

SMU played ZERO regular season ACC games against teams ranked in the Top 25 and the bowl teams they played are 0-3 in bowl games so far this bowl season

You could throw Clemson in the argument too seeing as the only reason they were able to get into the playoff in the first place was the fact that they didn't beat a single ACC team all year that finished with fewer than 6 losses. Alabama beat 4 such SEC teams including #2 Georgia, #15 South Carolina, #19 Missouri, and an 8-4 LSU team.

So the answer would be no. Alabama's argument that they should have gotten in over an at large 2 loss SMU team whose two best wins were over unranked Louisville and unranked Duke is still just as strong as it was a few days ago.
