I mean the same can be said for Saban with the Hurts/Tua situation.
The impact of that move for two teams. If that move doesn't happen, Georgia wins the natty. Georgia and Kirby are viewed in a much different light. The 1980 troll is over. Saban would have been questioned and lost Tua in the process.

Stetson was a loyal UGA fan/player who gave the program every ounce of talent he had.
Hey man, even I was cheering for Stetson. To me those stories are what makes college football such a great game. Eventually his limited talent did him in but it was nice little ride while it lasted. And hey, both you and I would take those experiences in a heartbeat.

He never claimed it in the first place.
He claimed Sasser(UGA Baseball player) said "Put that N-word in the game" and there were no repercussions

He actually said "my" and knew Justin since they were both kids playing baseball. He was drunk and not situationally aware but sasser and fields worked it out.
I don't think he meant it as the woke cloud portrays it, just wanted to see an old friend play.

“Before he said it [the alleged racial slur] he kept yelling, ‘put Justin Fields in’ and then when Fromm made a mistake he yelled out “put the n----- in,” Goolsby told the Washington Post.

Other than he was kicked out of UGA.

Do what? Sasser lost his baseball scholarship and was kicked out of school.
Justin Fields statement:
[quote]I did not feel that it was appropriate to publicly speak about the circumstances leading to my transfer. In my silence, people began to speculate, and the story took on a life of its own. Now that this matter is concluded, I would like to clarify some facts. I have no regrets about my time at UGA and have no hard feelings for the school or football program. My overall experience at UGA was fully consistent with UGA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. My sister is a softball player at UGA. I am still close friends with many of my UGA teammates. A part of me will always be a Georgia Bulldogs fan.”
I see you're back at it with yet another failed "gotcha"

And it's not like it was some random fan who yelled it out. It was a member of the Baseball team who was in the Athletic Department system with him.
You do know that the two people involved were friends, right? And the baseball player was kicked off the baseball team. And the baseball player was in the stands and there was no way Fields could have heard him?
Not only that, but athletes talk like that to each other all the time. They call each other names, make up derogatory nicknames for each other and continuously mess with each other.
You knew all these things, right?

My mistake, I thought he was kicked out for using it around the baseball field/team, not this event
