If the staff made promises (sure looks like they did) they need to follow through. Moral of the story don't bs about playing time to a recruit to keep him.

Something else that hasn't been mentioned is that a lot, I would even say most recruits, when they comment on Freeze, one of the compliments they give him is "how real he is". They will talk about how he tells them how it is and because he's upfront and doesn't sugar coat it, they feel they can trust him. That's what recruits say, so it's hard to believe he's out there promising things and then lying about those things.
State fans, and don't deny it, believe one of the reasons we out recruit them is because Mullen doesn't kiss recruits asses and tells them they will have to work hard at MSU, while OM kisses premadonnas asses and makes promises to them to land them. Recruits are not saying that at all. They're saying how real Freeze is.
And I know a lot of the Dodson stuff is said in jest but this is simply him being upset that he sacrificed to get to OM early to play and he may have to RS anyway. Honestly, I want him to be mad about. Once again, do you State fans believe we lied to Dodson to get him? Do you think we told him if you come here you will start or promised him he wouldn't RS? I'm not saying that's not possible to promise him that, but we aren't going to promise him that and then just break it. Maybe it's me but that seems beyond stupid and I just don't believe Hugh Freeze is a stupid man

Or he is extremely confident there is nothing that could come back on his staff. He wouldn't tweet that out if there were any concerns.

People don't think logically and always expect the worst out of someone that comes off as a good guy. The idiots want to believe that Freeze isn't concerned about Dodson's career and doesn't want him to waste this season riding the bench or returning kickoffs when he can redshirt and continue to develop his many talents and not lose a year of eligibility. They don't want to believe Freeze is redshirting him because he's not ready to be a big time back on a team that's already deep at the position.

No but deleting the source of the problem would help cut down on the BS reports that the office was getting.

Youre right, we all do do stupid things from time to time. Im not sure Freeze regrets that tweet or not, but this is his first rodeo as a HC in the SEC. He will make mistakes. This isnt his first rodeo as a recruiter, he was Oregon's recruiting coordinator for goodness sakes. To me making promises to kids who go to Whitehaven and USP and then flat out lying is beyond stupid and something that you dont have to do once to figure out it was a bad idea like that compliance email. Once again, the trend of Freeze and what people and recruits say about him makes this sound very fictitious. And the blatant lies and shite that comes from MSU fans makes it so hard to take you people seriously with any accusation.

So Ole Miss said they only got 81 email messages, that doesn't seem to be a ton like you describe.
Maybe there were more that just didn't get reported to the CL?

Im glad you will at least admit that Freeze isnt commanding the Tuohy's to shell out benjamins. That is a different opinion than a lot of grinders.

I don't think any coach is stupid enough to get involved in the shady part of recruiting in the SEC. It's done behind close doors with boosters. It all comes down to how carried away with it and how good you are at hiding it.
