Is there video evidence of this dastardly maneuver?

Video of Shiloh/Springdale/stAte games are hard to come by on the net.

It is the rule, the ref is suppose to stand over the ball allowing for defensive subs when they occur.

Then BRets beef should be with the refs and not the rules committee.

quote:

Part of Gus' smoke and mirror offense is "slip subbing" where a guy is by the side line and slips off the field while his replacement slips on, it is up to the refs to notice the sub and allow the defense an opportunity.

That is just cute.

The refs don't have to call penalties to slow the pace, they can take longer spotting the ball/making it ready to play which is something Gus loves to bitch about, so I can't wait for the Auburn threads bitching about it this fall.

He hasn't made a peep about this since taking the AU job.

So one game when both were coordinators at different schools than they are presently at...what a history!

Huge rivalry brewing here!

So none during his six years as an offensive coordinator subbing in and out offensive players.

He did it at Arkansas his first year, quite a bit, usually WRs.

Of course people remember the swinging gate with Mustain snapping the ball to Felix while the team appeared to be huddled on the sideline and hiding Reggie Fish behind the line more than his subbing practices.

well if you can't even make a comparison when they were coordinators against each other then how can you prop gus up at all being that he was only the coordinator during the nc (with cam)?

Bert wasn't a coordinator then.

Was the subbing rule in effect then? Did he run the HUNH at Arky? Are you full of shite?

Nobody is making a comparison between the two. You must think we are conversing about who is better...we are not.

Yes.

Until Nutt was tired of being blown out of games, he mentored Gus on how to win, added another branch to his coaching tree.

I'm not following you. The discussion was the lack of history between the two and it was brought up that in coaching different schools while Gus was a coordinator they had gone up against each other. The response was that it didn't show much of a history.

How that correlates with Malzahn winning a NC as a coordinator at AU is lost on me.
