I remember that game because FSU had to move Anquan Boldin to QB due to injuries.

Chris Rix was also suspended due to some off-field shenanigans.

No, what's changed over the years is the locaiton of your residence. Which has less than nothing to do with our biggest rival.

Honestly do you hear yourself? The university itself and it's athletic programs don't change their rivals based on where message board posters move to from one year to the next. Good Lord man.

he overslept and missed an exam IIRC. And Bolden didn't start btw, they had a young dual threat guy (fabien something, maybe? Memory is hazy) that started but we gave him nothing so they put bolden in and he fared pretty decent. Our defense was just too tough.

Fabian Walker from Americus. True freshman at that time. He started, was ineffective, and they put Bolden in there, who played better. Walker ended up trying to play baseball, IIRC. Didn't succeed there, either. Another swing and miss with QBs for FSU during their 'lost decade.'

If you don't play every year, it is not a rival.

You have GOT to be kidding me. You must have been born in 1904 if you think Tech is our biggest rival.

I called them our traditional rivals and acknowledged we don't play them every year. How about you let me do the figuring on the Gator rivals and you stick to Georgia? #thankyouverymuch

The best is a poster on here named gatorhata claiming that GT is their biggest rival.

And here's the link for the poll I posted earlier. Downvote away.

Us Gator fans consider Fsu our biggest rival.

younger Gators, yes

older Gators will say Georgia

if FSU stays mediocre for a few years (likely IMO) & the pissing contest between Merlins & Kirbs continues (also likely); them more and more younger Gators will start agreeing with the old folks

especially if UGA keeps wining more often than not over the next few years (again, this is also likely)

Uga-UF are academic rivals as well. 2 very good institutions for higher learning.

yeah, more than just a slight edge to UF - Florida is closer to catching up to Vandy than being caught by Georgia

agree with this and as BigD said, it's an impressive list (put LSU in at 6)

for UGA I would say:

1) UF
2) AU
3) GT
4) Clemson
5) So Carolina
6) Tenn

edge to Florida as USCjr has been traditionally pretty weak and Tenn is really new for us

the rest is pretty comparable

the answer is tech. I don't care what other fans on message boards think, that's the answer whether we like it or not.

maybe in an historical and traditional sense; but that rivalry has really lost it's luster

if Tech gets good again, it will rise in importance to our fan base

Depends on which fans you ask, actually.

UGA claims to not care about Tech, yet we live rent free in their heads.

Seriously? We rarely even think about Tech anymore. Maybe you just wish you were still on our radar?

Maybe USCjr will accept their rivalry application.
When Spurrier was there I think we definitely wanted to beat them. now that he is gone, most think of them as just another game.....and I'm sure they think the same of us.

But Tech? Very few Georgia fans consider Tech except on game week.

Mullen finished with the same record as Kirby Smart and he is only year 1 at Florida. Are you saying us losing to Georgia means we suck, so Georgia is a bad team to lose to?

Uf fans and Fsu fans went to the same high schools and Tallahassee is only an 1 hour and half from Gainesville. Fsu is bigger than Georgia
