Look at the differential in seeding. If you open with a #15 or #16 it skews the winning margins later on. UK was the lower seed in most of their games so the margins would be closer. Your point is invalid based on your data pool.

At this point, nothing in the past matters for either team. Last games of the season I believe UConn lost by 30+ to Louisville and UK lost by 19 to UF...
