It's probably about actual participation and viewing versus reading a book.

And don't go using the 90s as a counter-argument because Alabama owned LSU in every decade prior to the 1990s anyway.

yeah, we had some great coaches in the 90's...retard.

BTW, Bama owned LSU to the tune of 5-4-1 in the 80's......LSU dominated bama in the 2000's, and are off to a 2-0 start in the 2010's in regular season conference games. A win this year puts lsu up 3-0 for this decade in regular season games, and well on their way to another dominating decade. Also, it will give Miles a 4-2 regular season record over Saban (as hard as that is to believe for some of you).

What I see in your posts is a lot of woulda, shoulda, coulda....but the fact remains, over the last 30 years, it is dfe.

Anyone can pick arbitrary timeframes to justify their position.

This

Auburn fans start the clock in 1982
Gator fans in 1990
LSU in 2000

And entering the year 2000 that record was 13-6-1 since 1980. And overall the series record is 46-25-5 in favor of Alabama. Yes...we have owned you for quite a while.

Well, let's start it the year you started watching CFB and old enough to remember games. 1988? 1998? 2008?

not arbitrary...I've already acknowledged that alabama once owned LSU.....and has a great football tradition......prior to thirty years ago, alabama was king. Over the past 30 years...not at all.....just the facts. Hell, If I go back far enough.....we can have princeton and yale as GOAT...etc.....As I said...30 years is more than most of the lifetimes of many people on here....at some point you draw the line....if you haven't experienced it, then not sure how you say "WE ARE DOMINANT".....but then I wasn't brainwashed like most gumps.

rofl, you tell him Bama owned LSU in the 80s, he tells you Bama was 5-4 against LSU in the 80s and hardly "owning" them, so then you combine the 80s and the 90s. That's some good shite.

If you go back four years, one could make a great case that Alabama is still king of college football.

a push in the 80's practically.....you owned us in the 90's, we owned you in the 2000's, and are still owning you in the 2010's....

as for owning us for quite a while.....wow.....I just show you where the last 30 years you are 15-15-1 overall, and 14-15-1 against LSU in regular season....yet you sill conclude you still own us. I can't argue with ignorant. Again, you once owned us, many years ago...you no longer do and haven't for quite a long time.

A winning record is still owning someone, is it not? If you won a national title don't you own that title? If you beat someone, don't you own them until you play them again?

Alabama finished with a winning record over LSU in the 1980s, therefore...they OWNED them in the 1980s.

In all seriousness,,,, the fact that he brought LSU back from the bottom dwellers of college football, (not just the SEC) cements him as the best modern coach in college football..

Stupidest fricking thing I've already read in this thread and I'm still on page 1.

Where was LSU prior to the arrival of Saban? Did LSU even make more than a brief appearance in the top 25 in the 90's?

We do.

46-25-5. That's ownage. Anyone can pick and choose dates to support their argument. Since January 9, 2012, Alabama has owned LSU.

Only by a gump fan....honestly. You aren't the king of college football when you can't win your own conference but 1 time in 12 years....I'm sorry. One could go back 15 years, and make a case that Florida is king of college football. One could go back 11 years, and make a case that LSU is the king of college football (2 BCSNC's and 4 SEC Titles)......

No one outside of gump land thinks Alabama is the king of college football when they can't even dominate their own conference. When, and they will, but when LSU wins this year.....It will give them 3 balls...(the most in football) and 5 SEC titles, over a period of 12 years.......while bama has 2 & 1.....your case would get blown away in court.

lol. No not really. 85 was a tie. If 1 single game having a different outcome means the record could of been tied, then no. It's not ownage. 5-4 means 9 games, meaning 1 team had to have a winning record over the other.

GC you would think he was a young kid, that just doesn't have very logical reasoning skills...but according to his handle, he graduated in 1987......that puts him mid 40's...just wow.

Which leads me to believe this discussion involves a couple of young men no older than 20 or so.
