Losing track of downs is an officiating error too
That was my point, I should distinguish between a controversial judgement call and officiating error. Five downs, I don't care how you look at it, is about as piss poor as officiating can possibly get (Vandy's TD against Auburn coming close
I'll be honest I can't argue with you on the game/play you're talking about because I didn't give two shits about GT until 2006

It's probably one of the biggest controversies in the history of the series. It was absolutely ridiculous. There may or may not be a youtube video of it, idk. I've tried not to ever think about it or watch it in the 13 years since.

I don't know the reasoning behind them leaving
Didn't Tech leave because Bobby Dodd was pissed off at Bear Bryant by not sticking to some gentleman's agreement on scholarships? Tulane left because they weren't competive and thought they would do better as an indy.

They cut a CIS program to add more to the athletic budget
They merged the Computer Science with engineering. Also, The Academic and Athletic budgets at UF are Separate.

A blog post by Forbes contributor Steven Salzburg is the source of much of the attention. It makes the case that UF is cutting computer science while increasing the athletic budget. But as the Alligator Army blog points out, the UF athletic association has a separate budget from the university’s academic operations and has actually provided money back to those operations in recent years.

So lets think about this. they are running towards each other, correct.
No. Darwin had already assumed his blocking position and chick was closing in on him.

Now if you were lunging towards someone to block/tackle and they pulled up or slowed wouldnt you say you would be short or low rather than high? and why are you throwing your elbow
Back then, hadns were a no no when it came to blocking, as use of the hands was generally deemed holding. Blocks through the 60's were thrown with forearms.

not to mention they probably wouldn't want to be in the same league as us anyway.
Just saw this. Does not compute.
We play yall anyways, if anything it enables a transition rather than hinders it.
But like I said, not gonna happen.

Who told you that lie? An Auburn fan talking about academics is funny. I mean Florida never burned down a library full of coloring books.

So again how did the forearm strike his face?

15 some-odd years later and that's still Spurrier's best zing ever.

I think it is too because it's the one with the most truth to it.

blocks, when one is already broken down, are thrown with an upward thrust.

If you are going to block with your forearms, then you are going to want to bring your arms up as you hit him for some extra force. If it takes an extra fraction of a second for the guy to get there, then your arms are going to be higher than you anticipated. That's why you can hit someone in the jaw instead of the chest.

Dwag...really..ACC historically better than the SEC in baseball....HOW do you come to that conclusion ?
The ACC is better at getting their teams ranked and INTO the tourny..see FSU,NC,Wake F, Clemson etc.etc.etc.....BUT, WHERE do they finish year after year after year after year...I'll tell you, OUT on their ear and behind the SEC = FACT

Yeah I don't want to hear anything about my constant Swoopin in on UGA threads because in the rare opportunity for Tech to be the center of attention yall are like flies on shite too

Are you arguing that it wasn't a cheap shot? Good grief I don't even think Bear and his boys did much to deny it.
