Join what?
At least try and make sense when you post. I'm agreeing with you, there's no reason for Clemson to join the SEC.

If Clemson could get State to sign a request to leave the SEC, then I'm sure the SEC would in kind send a request to Clemson to admittance.

SEC would not be interested because we already have a school from South Carolina in the SEC.
It's amazing that people still don't understand this.

I posted it earlier. Some people fail to grasp that in this day and age conference expansion isn't about who's deserving or has the best athletics or even who's the best fits. It's purely about grabbing bigger TV markets.
The Big Ten didn't add Rutgers for their pathetically awful athletic programs.

FSU has beaten Clemson 57-0, 54-7, and 51-7 since 1993. All of those Clemson teams won atleast 9 games
Y'all ain't needed
Clemson is 8-6 against FSU the past 14 years and would be 9-5 if not for missing two FGs at FSU Watson's first year.

Clemson struggled in the 90s, you are assuming it was just FSU keeping Clemson from winning title then. if FSU had joined ACC in 80s when Clemson was a top 10 program, they wouldn't have won so many titles. Most of FSU's titles came prior to expansion.

I do not think you will see any expansion until the playoffs are expanded to 8 teams. After seeing Conference Champions left out of the Playoffs, why would teams want to reduce their chances of making the playoffs by adding more competition ?

i'm not lobbyin for expansion. i would like to reduce number of teams in conferences so that every team plays each other and do away with divisions, and have top 2 teams in the conference title game. the ACC title game would have been so much better over the past few years if Clesmon and FSU could play again. they even had a Duke vs FSU contest one year and Clemson wud have destroyed Duke.

South Carolina would veto, and would likely get support from UK, UF, TAMU, and UGA because they all have a vested interest in keeping their in-state out of the conference.

If you really believe that then why wouldn't USC join?..It is that easy...
Assuming you mean if the ACC is such an easy conference, why don't we join it....
We WON the ACC.
We have YET to win the SEC.
We escaped the bonds of that shitty conference and would NEVER go back. We chose to wander the desolate, lonely landscape that is independent football and preferred THAT hell to the ACC.
So, do you still need more proof that tSEC is far more competitive than tACC?
I mean, all y'all want to fixate on is how much we suck. Well, even amongst all of that suckage, we have an ACC championship title. What does that say about your prestigious little shithole of a conference?

1 conference title doesn't mean much. NC State has won 7, lowly Wake and UVA have 2 apiece.
ACC beat SEC on the field this year and i believe last year as well, or the year before.
i think it is generally true the SEC is more likely to produce the national title winner than ACC but across the board i think the two conferences are even most seasons. if the new coaches at Miami and Va Tech can continue to get thsoe programs back to where they were, then case could be made it is the best. the conference has definitely upgraded its head coaching positions this past year.

You can't have it both ways, Tilly. Y'all repeatedly say that tSEC has nothing that tACC doesn't already have.
We answer that it is far more difficult to win in tSEC.
Y'all counter and say it isn't and that should that actually be the case, why don't we join tACC since it's so much easier.
I point out that we HAVE WON tACC whereas we HAVE NOT won tSEC as proof that tSEC is much more difficult to win.
Then your lame arse wants to say that one title doesn't mean anything.
Well, I agree. A title in tACC doesn't mean anything. You do have that much right.
Thanks for making our point for us.

i don't think it was harder to win in the SEC this year. for example, TN lost to SC, and Clemson destroyed SC. SC was in all its SEC games.
i would argue Spurrier's 3 best years at SC he had teams that were more talented than the one that won the ACC a long time ago. he would lose one game that he shouldn't have to a bad team like TN or Kentucky and it prevented himf ro winning a title. had nothing to do with harder schedule given he was getting upset in 1 game.
Clemson has only won 3 titles in the past 20-25 years. i think most peole view Clemson as the 2nd best program in the ACC. so obviously it isn't that easy to win it.

ok, so who in the SEC had a team this year hat could beat Clemson if they played well other than Bama? CU would have easily won the east.

They played in the 80s. But, but, but we missed 2 filed goals! Yadda yadda yadda!
Nattys? FSU
MAjor Bowl Games? FSU
Heisman? FSU
Keep on, plenty more, Clem! better get it before Dado blows town, or wait till you can find another Bama guy to lead Clem. Only football y'all ever had, a Bama Man was pulling the trigger!

If the SEC wanted to expand eastward they should get one team each in VA and NC, two growing and already big states, squares it off geographically
Those schools are all intertwined though so I don't know that pulling out one of each is possible.
For an ACC school I am not sure a marginal upgrade in football conference is worth going to a shitty basketball conference that you still won't win because of UK's developmental league team. None of the 4 newer SEC teams have won a football championship either.
