I disagree. If LSU fires Les after winning LSU's superbowl, no decent coach in college football would want that job with those unreasonable expectations.

LSU also hired DiNardo.
Saban was hardly a "find." Everyone knew he was good. Good programs hire bad coaches all the time. Look at Michigan with Rich Rod and then Hoke.
Not to mention if you guys had fired Les, people may not be lining up for the job considering the success he has had. That does have a bearing on who you can attract.

Because you have a different standard than when Miles was hired. Your expectations for consistent success are much higher now than they were 11 years ago.

and do you honestly believe that lsu can do no better than les miles and middle of the pack in the secw?
Les Miles is the best coach LSU can get.

Imagine if they had fired Les after he won their superbowl.
They would have been down at the street corner trying to find a coach.

Michigan is not better in 2015. Oklahoma doesn't have the natural recruiting grounds that LSU does (although both rely heavily on Texas).
I'd say LSU falls somewhere in that 5-10 range though right now.

Then you have ND, Texas, FSU, OU, Michigan, and UT in no specific order... LSU is up there, but I laugh when thinking top 5....

Not to forget, Louisiana is significantly different culturally than any other state. I personally loved that, but some hate it. Depending on the coach, it may help or hurt LSU.

Convenient he mentions this as soon as USC is off the table.
I liked Low's dig at Tennessee:
Only two of the 20 changes came because coaches left to take higher-profile jobs. Lane Kiffin left Tennessee for USC following the 2009 season, and James Franklin left Vanderbilt for Penn State following the 2013 season.

UT is to USC as Vandy is to PSU.

I'd say 1a UGA 1b LSU.
Only Because UGA pretty much just has UF as far as SEC divisional title runs go. Swap divisions and I'd swap rankings.

It fluctuates so I would not rank schools but would categorize class 5 jobs.
USC, Texas, ND would not like it but lSU, UGA and UF belong in there.

All the schools I listed, outside of Georgia and Florida, are blue bloods. It is what it is.

How was I delusional? Michigan hasn't been the premier program in their own state, much less conference, for the last 5 years. Oklahoma is a great job, but LSU has a built in recruiting base that OU simply can't match.
Do you not think today's LSU program would be considered a top 10 job opening?
