Yes, I am Republican. Yes, I was a McCain supporter but for the right reasons. You and I both know that a lot of people didn't pay any attention to the Presidential Election but supported McCain because Obama was a percentage black. It pissed me off but that's just how the world is. I didn't say you were all racist for being Republican. There are racists in Oxford and there are racists in Starkville. There are racist all across the South.

i've been to ole miss
to deny that there are no racist people there is just silly
one of the last conversations I had with a oxford resident was outside of a venue and he told me that he felt the racism living there.

Take it as it is, but when I was in Europe I saw some racist shite that caught me off guard. I grew up in Mississippi, a place which I was told was the most racist place EVARRR so, for some of the stuff I saw and heard to come off as shocking really strikes me in hindsight.
As far as I'm able to tell, the United States is one of the world's most tolerant societies. We're the only western country to truly embrace blacks, Jews, and many various nationalities as defining characteristics of America and American culture (what's more American than Jay Z, Jerry Seinfeld, etc?). Europe, for as much as they beat their own self-righteous drum, doesn't hold a candle to us.
Just my opinion, etc etc etc take it for what it's worth go frick yourself whatever else people say kthxBAI

Just because one thinks a region is kinda racist doesn't mean he hates the place. Look...there is still some racial tension in Oxford. Things are moving forward at an incredible pace, but to deny there still aren't some subtle undertones there would be silly.
