I dont really have a strong opinion on Saban, think he is a great coach, but consider he and Petrino to be in the same class of individual. Respect the hell out of the X's and O's but wouldn't want my own kid playing for them. Having to adjust to a new coach is tough on a kid.

That's where you're wrong. Saban is a great organizer(recruiter, money raiser, and maybe practice), but game day he's average at best.

I sure hope not. Richt's stock went down after that. He made it worse with some lame spin excuse.

In Georgia, his stock didnt go down. There was actually a growing level of frustration amongst many that he lacked the passion and such to win big games. Heck, how often do people on this board do that (say that he gets a pass when he shouldnt due to "choking" against the Turds or whoever)? Was it somewhat bush league? Yeah. Was it effective. Definately.

Do you seriously believe Nick Saban would ever call for something like that? No sir. Bush league, kinda like a blackout.
I guess it also can be said of the bush league "We Got Nick" tee's must be that respect maturity thing you are implying.

Uhhh.. I think the PLAYERS won that game, and it wasn't won by a mile, either, as was the 2007 Championship. (ha ha, no pun intended!). Came down to the wire, with some questionable clock management. So, Saban gets credit for staying at the helm long enough to be on that sideline, but after the year that followed that NC, and the way he left town like a snake-oil salesman, I'm an overall happier LSU fan today!!

Can't say I blame you.

I was commenting on the quote that said Saban was "average at best". This for all intensive purposes means he was/is a poor coach. I just found that kind of absurd considering what he accomplished for you guys.

Me thinks the quote was that Satan was "average" on GAMEDAY... and with they way everyone has said that Les Miles has only been successful because of TALENT.. and since Les has a much better winning % with such great talent, it could be argued that Miles IS a better gameday coach that the little angry dude!

Les with megatalent>Saban with NC-calaber talent= Les on gameday>midget on gameday

see? and GEAUX LES!!

I have said nothing to that effect about Miles and nor did my post include any reference to Miles. I was only referring to the comment about Saban and him alone. Like I said you should be happy with your present coach where LSU is now, I would be too.

You happy = Me Happy

See?

How did this thread get so long? Its pretty simple, Saban's a egomaniacal dickhead, Richt is a whiner, and Meyer is a sneaky bitch. There, end of thread.
