If they don’t think he can win them a championship then they should want him to leave . What good is it to win the east again and nothing else with all that talent . The top teams in the east will return their starting QBs next year and still lose to the west in the SEC championship game.

Here's the deal: Fromm is a game manager type QB. He doesn't have an NFL caliber arm and he's not very athletic. But he is a 3 year starter and obviously has a lot of experience reading defenses. If we can develop a more innovative offense with schemes that get our play-makers in space, Fromm should be fine. He's just not the type of QB who can carry your team; he needs a strong supporting cast and an OC and QB coach who can help him with his bad habits/mechanics.

NO...not because he's not capable at times. Yes, I think he can improve like all qb's....BUT BUT BUT...we need a new off coordinator that knows modern day schemes akin to what LSU, Bama, Ohio ST and Clemson are doing. We need a duel threat qb and an OC who can develop him. We will never maximize the talent we recruit and win a Natty until we overhaul our Off.

If we're not going to get a new OC that brings a new offensive identity, then it doesn't really matter that much.

You were doing just fine with your "identity" when you had good players.

Hmmmm, yeah... good players make plays. I'm pretty sure I'm accurate.

Judging solely by the one or two throws Stetson Bennett made in the SECCG, UGA ought to want Fromm back badly. Who else do they have?

And lol at UGA if they think a couple true Freshmen receivers are going to turn the offense around next year. They’ll need a year of seasoning to truly break out and by that time Fromm will gone

people don't want to seem to acknowledge this. In 17/18 when we had mecole/ridley/wims/godwin/holloman/nauta to throw to Fromm looked just fine. Replace literally every one of those guys wiht someone worse and we look bad, it's not a real shock.

Having said that Fromm did look to be a different thrower this year and seemed to regress mechanically. I still think we're in much better shape in 2020 with him than without. I mean, for hte fans that want him to leave are you really more confident in stetson bennett or a guy that isn't even on campus yet that looked lousy this last year in HS?

Not Fromm like #'s against better competition.

Okay. We have 3 good ones....but we had 2 5* freshmen receivers that should have gotten that seasoning this past year. So maybe we will be okay?

Are you saying that when a QB leaves a program will fall apart? What is LSU going to do next year?

In 2018 Fromm's numbers were better than the guy who just ran away wiht the heisman in historic fashion. He didn't simply forget how to throw a football between last year and this one, there's obviously something that changed. For one, as mentioned, every good receiving threat he had last year left. And second his OC/QB coach changed for the worst.

But again..fromm leaving doesn't improve any of those scenarios.

60% for the year. But yeah he’s had a bad stretch.

stetson bennett, dwan mathis coming off a brain surgery, or a true freshman.

I find it hard to believe any of those 3 are a better option than a senior jake fromm.

LSU will have a rising junior QB with game experience that has shown more pure arm talent than the current starter. UGA has...Stetson Bennett?

I’m just stating the obvious: UGA would be completely fricked if Fromm left. You’d be staring down the barrel of a 3-loss season right out the gate; if Kirby couldn’t run his offense with an experienced QB and inexperienced WR, how’s he going to run it with inexperienced WR and inexperienced QB?

How is it not obvious to any rational UGA fan that Fromm leaving could possibly be a good thing?

I haven’t seen any of Fromm except for the SEC Championship this year. What struck me was him missing wide open receivers. He made some really bad throws. In 2018 Burrow never did that. His problems that year - mostly in the first five or six games - was unfamiliarity with the offense. Even at his worst in 2018 Burrow was on the money. That’s not what I saw from Fromm in, admittedly, a single game.

To add: I think with Fromm back, UGA punches another ticket to the SECCG and by virtue of that, a play-in game to the playoffs. If Fromm left it opens the door for UF to seize control of the East. That’s how important it is for UGA for him to stay, despite not playing his best ball this year, unless something major changed e.g transfer portal.
