Do either Condon or Caglianone have a chance at the Single Season SEC HR record?

At 27 HRs and 25 HRs respectively, their current HR rate would mean that they would break Brandon Larson's 40 HR record from 1997 with a long enough post season run. I don't see the Gators being good enough to give Jac the opportunity, but could see Georgia maybe getting to Omaha

I hope your right. It's been a long time since our last trip there. I'm not sure we're quite ready for that kind of run, but Wes Johnson has us back on the right track. I see us returning to Omaha sometime in the next few years. Hopefully sooner than later.

Pretty cool that we’re having this conversation again after the awful stretch of dead baseballs, dead bats, and 20 home runs being phenomenal around 10 years ago

Yes
Especially now that weather is warming up
Longer tourney run always helps as well and Fla is right on the bubble
Of course they will be pitched around the more meaningful the game is so it’s more on the players around them doing their part by getting on base

My only concern is more home runs invite the ncaa to restrict the bats again
Let’s hope not

What's crazy about Larson's long standing HR record is that he finished second to Lance Bertman's 41, i.e. 40 HR was not even the most hit in college that year. Gorilla ball at its best that year.

This year is shaping up similarly. The NCAA BBCOR era record was set by Caglianone last year with 33. Both him and Condon should blow through that.
