Oregon did offer, but late (thanks Helfrich).
Tua did in fact prefer Oregon because he grew up idolizing Mariota. His dad picked Bama.
Neither of these facts in anyway prevented me from travelling halfway across the country to watch live from Tiger Stadium as he destroyed your dream season, clinched a trip to Atlanta and gave postgame interviews in impeccable English.

As a Bama fan i also noticed in an article he said he would go where ever his mom and dad wanted him to. I kinda thought the same thing.

Do bama fans like Tua?

I agree with what you said, if Tua came here and didnt want to Id still root for him to beat Bama.
I have family in Hawaii and Guam(military) that will never come back to the mainland. Tua seems like a smart kid and can speak better english than most here. I mustve missed that thread or something.

I do like him, its just the thought of him not wanting to be there might make some fans upset.

The actual truth is HE chose Bama because of the local church he liked. That was his first decision about where he would play: finding a church home.
Surprised people didn't make a big deal of him saying he was speaking in tongues on the sidelines near the end of the last championship game.
He's actually a decent young man. I think he's rubbed off a lot on Hurts and that's why Hurts turned his situation over to God the second half of this season.

He would be at USC if Sark wasn't such a drunk.

He has the opportunity to be tGOAT quarterback in Bama history. A win Saturday will set up 2 in a row. And next years class will be better.
3 in a row would be historic.

No. No he wouldn't.

Father and son had long rooted for USC, but Galu knew in that moment what school Tua would attend. He also knew who else would be moving over 4,000 miles to Tuscaloosa: the entire Tagovailoa clan. Galu liked the number of churches in the area and the lower cost of living, along with the training resources at Alabama, the elite teammates and the coach who reminded him of himself.

They like him as QB of their football team.
But if Tua didn't play football and was just some random average guy on the street, most Bama fans would probably see him on the street, then turn to their friends and joke under their breath about Trump sending him back to Mexico
Hell, even knowing who he is and that hes from Hawaii, if Tua were to have a bad game and cost Bama the natty then it's a pretty safe bet there'll be a couple anonymous tips to ICE about Tua's family in alabaster.

That's what happens when you live in a third world country. Get out of LA so you can learn more than Yaw Yaw.
