Most every Bama fan wanted the call to be overturned? I don't know about the rest of my comrades, but I was desperately hoping that the call would stand.

We need more "arse" on both lines. Hopefully another year in the system will do this for soem of our guys. BAMA exerted their will in the 2nd half. Our guys were spent. I'm proud of both sides.

Something tells me you were having a mental breakdown when they were reviewing the call, and likely screamed lots of profane words at your television when they upheld the call. Either way, to suggest that you were "neutral" is silly.

I have NEVER been into conspiracy theories. I tend to look for something logical. Like the replay guy is a Bama fan or wanted Bama to win, or whatever. I think the refs are incompetent and have been so used to giving bama the benefit of every close call for years and decades, they just don't know anything different.

I certainly do not think it is a conspiracy though.

There is no excuse for the replay guy except he is dishonest with no integrity.

Dick Burleson is a retired two-star with the National Guard, and ref'ed in the SEC for 25 years. He really is an outstanding man, and I'd like for you to pop off with this bullshite to his face.

I would like the opportunity to respectfully ask him why he intentionally made the wrong call.

There is no way you could tell if that foot was on the line or not. I'm uploading the whole play and replays from CBS right now in HD, so you can take a look at it.

He only had that one foot in, and there was no way the angle that CBS had showed if it was on the line or not.

Good call in the booth.

If it had been called an INT, it would have stayed that way.

I think the bottom line is that the wrong call may have been made on the FIELD, because the play happened so quickly. When the replay officials sat down and looked at the replays, there was nothing there that they could use to overturn the call, because ALL of the camera angles sucked and left at least a little doubt as to whether or not he had possession with a foot in bounds.

I maintain that if the play had been called an INT on the field, it would have been upheld.

Almost perfect so I fixed it!

Except that his left foot was clearly down and in bounds with a couple of inches to spare at the time of the catch.

It was an open/shut case, IMO, and they blew it.

And he would tell you what his reasoning was, and I have no doubt you'd accept it. He's a hellava guy.

Read his book, "You'd Better Be Right."

I have it on DVR. Don't bother.
Do us rational people a favor and just STFU.

Did he have posession at that point though?
I think that was the main issue. That foot was obviously in.

This could be argued forever, but game is over, Bama won. You guys got something to bitch about

Yes. We also think that it wouldn't have mattered because LSU's offense was being run by Jarrett Lee without Charles Scott, and managed only 9 yards total in the 4th quarter.

Agreed. It just sucks that we didn't even get the chance to make a final drive to win the game. It was a fantastic SEC battle, Bama had better lines and that was the difference, its just ashame a stupid call like this will be leaving people asking what if, and is overshadowing what was probably the best SEC game played this year.
