Losing a center is a freakin HUGE DEAL. Its a major blow to Auburn. Im pissed at Dismukes for being so stupid. I will admit I dont like this kid. Stupid hairdo's and do rags with a regular tendency to act like a douche.

I'm not all that concerned about him missing the Clemson game, but if he misses SEC games, then yeah, it's a really big deal.

Because you think it's an automatic win or because the loss doesn't matter as much?

I'm pissed at the overall maturity level of our players. It's terrible. There is zero leadership. It's not Chizik's fault, the players need to take some responsibility for their actions.

I can't see us going 6-6

I think 7-5 is more likely but it's not out of the question. AU could easily start the season 1-4 with losses to Clemson, MSU, LSU and Arky. Then you still have top 10 teams in UGA and Bama waiting on you. That's 6 losses. And that's if you don't stumble to a TAMU or Vandy type team. Could be a rough year on the plains.

Definitely the latter. By no means do I think Clemson is an automatic win, and I never even thought it would be with Dismukes. But I would much rather have Fariyike get his first start against a non-conference opponent than Miss. St. or LSU.

Also, IIRC, I believe Clemson will also have a new starter or two on the interior of their D line. Being a matchup of new vs. new makes me feel a little better.

Well, people do what they think they can get away with, as a general rule. He wouldn't have gone out and gotten wasted drunk if he thought there was a legitimate risk of being arrested and suspended, or if he were intimidated or scared of the consequences.

Again, if we finish .500 or worse, the heat will be turned up in 2013. Regressing two straight years after winning a national title isn't a direction you should be going in your fourth year on the job. Chizik faced an uphill battle last year after losing so much on both sides of the ball and having to break in new starters at nearly every position. A mediocre year was expected last season. He doesn't get that same pass this year. At least not from me, anyway.

I totally agree. I thought y'all were going to have an easy time of it before the Dismukes thing with Watkins gone. Even with the loss of him though, the Clemson D has a new coordinator that had a tendency to unravel last year (to put it mildly). The D, not the coordinator.

Dabo has recruited well, maybe by cheating, but they have talent.

Definitely not good for Auburn. I was thinking this was a definite win, but that's looking less likely every day.

I am seriously wondering who is going to step up and yank a knot in the tail of some of these folks. Lemonier, Bates, Dee Ford, Mcalleb, Lutz, and our new starting QB need to call a freakin players only meeting and FIX this shite.

The one day of practice suspension was pretty awesome though. The iron fisted discipline seems to be working. Want to go there?

Sure. lets go there. Are you talking about Cams one day suspension? He was suspended the ONE day the NCAA had him suspended. That was all legal bullshite.

Though I get you on this, I can't see it being the case. Chizik has handed every situation harshly. His punishments have been harsh.

This just sounds like an "I thought the Chiz hire sucked from Day One, and now I've got a argument to justify it" post. Please name one high school kid other than Pike Chiz has recruited that has had obvious red flags before coming to Auburn.

My opinion is that these highly rated players out of high schools pose more risks than the standard 3 star guy with a lunch pail and sleeves rolled up mentality. I know there are a lot of good kids out there that are highly sought after...but half of them seem to have their heads up their butts.

I have seen the recruits that AU has signed over the past few years and this doesnt surprise me honestly. A lot of them have had grades issues and seem to have character flaws along with it. To hell with that...give me good kids who wanna work hard and mold them into SEC players. This goes for all of college football...not just AU. Coaches have to make the right choices and if the kid is a problem in high school...it aint going away...it will only get worse usually. Some kids do change...most of the time its single mother families that dont have the ability or desire to teach their children right and wrong. Society in a nutsell. Girls out there with three kids and she is only 20 yrs old.

Ridiculous argument. Auburn fights with 4 or 5 other sec schools foe each recruit. We all recruit the same players.

AU has a new starter at RB,QB,and center. Not the best way to start a new season.
