This is a hard question to answer without context. Your employer is putting you at risk if they aren't taking reasonable precautions, yes. Most are having people telework as possible and taking steps to reduce meetings, etc.

One of the biggest risk factors for all of this is travel.

These 18-20 year old college students would have been obligated and massively pressured to travel if they didn't shut this all down. That just really wouldn't have been fair.

I wouldn’t say most. Most people are still reporting, in person, to work every day, myself included. The precautions being taken are if you’re sick don’t come into work which has always been the case. This virus isn’t off the charts contagious and we don’t quarantine entire teams if someone gets a stomach bug, the flu, etc. I’m sorry but you’re just not going to convince me this hasn’t been a huge overreaction.

I love their line of logic that doesn't include everything shutting down because of this. Either it is serious enough to shut everything down or people are overreacting and nothing will come of this.
