Did security change at any other SEC venues yesterday?

Arkansas was a little more strict and searched.
Had to open jackets and shake them. Had to hold up blankets and shake them out. Bags for women were still searched as usual, but they were a little more attentive in searching. Noticed many more officers at the stadium as well.
Anything changed at your venues?

They told us before the game that it would be more strict
But when you actually got to the line no it wasn't

That sucks.
I didn't mind it at all. The longer wait, that is.
At least, it felt like we were trying to put forth a little more effort.

Operation: shake down the beige people only. Was a success!

No change at BDS, from my experience.

At the 2002 Cotton Bowl I remember seeing snipers on the roof of nearby buildings and a constantly hovering helicopter. I expect a return of that type thing at some point is not out of the question.

Georgia had people running on the field an hour after the game

Student section was very strict. You had to open jackets and let them see anything you were carrying in. The SO had a wristlet and the guy at the gate asked to see in it. She showed him and he still demanded that she move the shite around in it even though it's not very deep.
Not sure what he thought you could find at the bottom of it.

They also had some national guard vehicles on the streets in T-Town, and 2 police helicopters circled the stadium for almost an hour. I've never seen either of those things before.

The only time I have ever been frisked at a sporting event was a winter league baseball game in Santo Domingo 25 years ago. There was a box of handguns on the table by the gate. You had to check your gun and get it back after the game. Good thing, too. One night, after the home team had walked the go ahead runner to first in the top of the ninth, the home plate umpire called three straight balks to bring him home. Someone would have shot that umpire. Thankfully, he was only pelted with rum bottles when he ran off the field at the end of the game.

Yes, we got an email notifying us that security would be tighter ... and it was.
Obviously it applied to our team as well ... and their balls were confiscated before the game.

Dear Citizen,
It's very suspicious that you are asking such a question. Please put on a yellow hat so the drones can follow you more easily. Thank you.

I saw a few dogs sniffing for bombs. Or weed. Extra snipers on top of buildings.
