He said something like that- it was during the half and I was up and doing stuff but I heard the announcers say something about it- I thought they said flopper tho not flipper
Timme is a hooker - hopefully he gets paid.

Well, he’s not wrong.
He's drawn over 50 charges. That's how you play defense good enough to beat the #1 overall seed. Just funny to me that Few was apparently bitching about it during the game.

I had no idea Williams was a professional level tumbler. That's pretty impressive at his height.
Few is not a particularly gracious loser, which is odd because he has a lot of experience when it comes to losing in the Big Dance.

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out.

I heard that as well. He will have until next season to review his failure as a coach to make proper adjustments. Run and gun teams normally dont have the ability nor intelligence to make in game adjustments

"flopper", but yes he said it at halftime interview. He's not wrong.
I'm wondering if flopping will become a new standard in mbb defense since it has worked so well for him.

I watched his post game presser and he opened up giving Arkansas credit but then during Q/A he reversed course and said they got the shots they wanted but they just didn't go in.

That's cuz your guys are rattled, man.

It used to be and it still should be. People talk shite over it, but it's the most dangerous play in basketball I can think of aside from maybe dunking the ball in transition with someone on your heels.

I don’t know- I think people can argue whether Jaylin is set or not but typically when he goes down there has been contact sometimes a lot. And I kinda always thought flopping involved people who weren’t really touched and falling backwards.
Maybe we need a new term for Jaylin- like ‘smart defender’ - that has a great ring to it.

I've seen dude literally win games by being the only one back on a 2-on-1 fast break and draw a charge (legit charge too) to stop the play. If the opponent had finished that play they would have captured the lead and momentum late in the game.
Hogs win. He's for damn sure a smart player.

Maybe 1 out of 10 charges he takes are a “flop.” The rest of the time he’s getting bulldozed onto the floor. It takes a serious “team first” mentality to put your body out there like that game after game. It’s not that Williams is doing anything sly to pickup all these charges (vast majority of the time), it’s just that he’s willing to do whatever’s necessary to make the best play. Most “big time” college players simply don’t want to consistently exercise that sort of anticipation and effort just to get run over. Everyone should be lauding Williams’ toughness and selflessness, but instead you get a bunch of salty bitches crying about that one time he flopped.

He's right,if he did. Does a better job of it than Tennessee's Grant Williams did, though.

The late, great Pat Summitt drilled her teams relentlessly to take charges. If it was a good enough strategy for her than its good enough for us.

Pretty hypocritical if he did IMO. Timme gets a foul call if someone looks at him the wrong way.

Timme gets away with as many offensive fouls as Williams does blocks IMO.
