It would be kinda awkward for Lane to turn down an offer when no offer has been extended.

Lol I’m loving these excuses!

You’re spouting delusional nonsense and making a complete arse of yourself in the process. No offer has been made and we don’t even know if one will. If you think otherwise that’s because you’re feeble minded enough to fall for every bullshite report you read on media, social media and message boards.

It’s been said time and time again. Auburn will not offer unless they know Lane Kiffin will accept. Again, this has been said for weeks now. If they can’t come to agreeable terms, an offer won’t be extended.

As it stands, an offer has not been extended from Auburn to Lane Kiffin officially.

Anyone who says definitively “he isn’t leaving” is full of shite and just trolling. Conversely, anyone who says “he is absolutely going to Auburn is full of shite and just trolling. No one outside of jimmy sexton, lane Kiffin and Auburn admin knows anything. We will all know in 72 hours or less.

I know this has been the worst or best job of a smokescreen depending on who we pick.

He’d have to have an incredible contract to overcome the stigma of working for Auburn.

So, it's safe to say Kiffin will not resign from Ole Miss Friday?

I get what you are saying, but it just obscures the fact that Kiffin is definitely Auburn's first choice. If he does not go there, it is because he essentially turned down what Auburn proposed, right?

I mean, it seems crazy that Auburn would offer Kiffin $8 million and him to say it's not enough, then Auburn to say "we never offered him the job!"
The fact that they are negotiating with each other implies that they are offering him the job until they cannot reach terms. By negotiating they are offering him the job. It's a matter of if salary, benefits and other details can be worked out. If they have no intention of offering then why negotiate?

ETA
TLDR
If they are discussing salary, benefits etc then an offer is being made. He might turn down the salary, benefits, etc but he is turnign down an offer. As soon as those details are being discussed an offer is being made. If he accepts the terms they are not goign to say, "WAIT! We didn't offer it to you. No deal!"

Everything that has been told to this point is hearsay from some writer. There isn't even proof he has interviewed or talked to Auburn.
