I like how you assume Kiffin didn’t know he wouldn’t be able to continue coaching until the last possible moment. He valued 2026 at LSU more than he did a playoff at Ole Miss. simple as.

I love how LSU fans act like Ole Miss owes all the success to Lane and that Lane is a godsend. Lane had 2 other "blue blood' jobs and was fired from one and finished 7-6 at the other in his only season there. Maybe, just maybe, part of Lane's success was due to a great administration and the alumni gettong on board with NIL. That can easily continue with a new coach.
