Wait. Two threads saying the same thing? DeepRig really got under your skin didn't he?

Where is the other thread?

The UGA admin hates me and wipes every thread out that I make.

Now, can you explain how Chubb has less yards with Guice playing less games.

I’ll wait...

Guice missed a game and shares carries with an NFL back as well.

Great point

I knew that was coming. Ypc is your excuse? With less games?

Tell me how you think YPC is impacted by games played. I'm curious how you're approaching this brain buster.

2017 UGA RB Rushing Stats:

Chubb - 177 Att - 1098 Yds - 6.2 YPC - 13 TD
Michel - 124 Att - 903 Yds - 7.3 YPC - 13 TD
Swift - 66 Att - 509 Yds - 7.7 YPC - 2 TD
Herrien - 59 Att - 249 Yds - 4.2 YPC - 1 TD
Holyfield - 45 Att - 284 Yds - 6.3 YPC - 2 TD

2017 LSU RB Rushing Stats:

Guice - 216 Att - 1153 Yds - 5.3 YPC - 11 TD
Williams - 136 Att - 776 Yds - 5.7 YPC - 9 TD

So in a hypothetical, If we just split our other 3 backs right down the middle and give their stats to both Chubb and Michel we end up with:

Chubb - 263 Att - 1619 Yds - 6.2 YPC - 16 TD
Michel - 209 Att - 1424 Yds - 6.8 YPC - 16 TD

Crap, I don't care.
I mean if you want to continue going back and forth then Guicee had more carries, so the number of games is immaterial.
But again...it really doesn't matter. Benny Snell and Kerryon Johnson both had more yards, so by your criteria they are the best running backs in the SEC.

Chubb barely played in the fourth quarter of every game all season (minus ND and Auburn). So that's like the equivalent of not playing in two games.

I mean, if we're going to get technical, he didn't really play in the Auburn game either.

How will you criteria switch when you realize that your baw isn't the best RB in the SEC if you purely go by yards?

Can we factor in yards after contact and rush defense?

Name G Att Yards Avg TD Att/G Yards/G
Derrius Guice 11 216 1153 5.34 11 19.64 104.82
Nick Chubb 12 178 1098 6.17 13 14.83 91.50

So, Guice has 38 more attempts in few games and less yds per carry.

You really didn't look at that very closely did you?

Guice played the first quarter of the season on one leg. Not that I really give a shite about this debate though.

Guice ran against 3 top 25 rushing defenses. Chubb ran against 1. It was Auburn. How did he do in that game?
