I'm sure Cal told the admin he wasn't doing it. That's why they did the call before he came on stage and then after he got done with the interview. Do it in the background but no way he would do it.
Dude is an absolute politician and navigated that one like a slick presidential candidate.

Actually, Cal was going to go back on stage to do it , but Yurachek said it’s okay because it was over. Cal and his wife practiced the Hog call on the plane.

Understandable that a coach, especially coming from a rival program, may not be initially comfortable doing it. Especially for the first time during the introduction and ome day removed from a school he represented for 15 years. Looks like he plans to embrace it and just wants to have it down before doing it publicly.

And the excuse making has started. Get used to it under Cal.
Curious how many other new coaches “ducked out” during their own introduction press conference. Cal was breaking all the wrong records at UK and looks like he’s kept the momentum at your school.
