Disagree, Oklahoma State is a quality team.

Agreed. That’s what I was thinking.

Good with this clemson fan. The “alliance” is a stupid idea and is an admission the SEC won expansion by so much the rest of the conferences intact want to join forces to create a hodgepodge junior league thinking it’s better.

WTH sport organization is college football.
NFL, c'mon in and make this market efficient, pls. This is stupid.

So do I and, while I'm probably just "old school", I feel for the schools and kids that remain in what was the B-12.

Agree, and if you're gonna build a super conference, go big. Clemson, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, West Virginia, NC State, and Virginia. Four 6 team pods and let's get it on

I feel the same, except for Baylor. Kansas State is in the worst position I think, and they have some of the best fans and atmosphere in college football. Iowa State as well. Wish there was a way the SEC could use them as their non conference games or work a scheduling alliance with them.

They seemingly want more Votes than the SEC. Having said that, I can think of several great schools and a few good ones for the SEC to grab for the votes.

Also, if they can improve TV viewership, NIL money will flow.

The best solution is unrealistic because of the ACC’s tv deal. You’d still end up with a sea to shining sea footprint, but the best of all 3 conferences should form their own super conference, not combine everyone from all 3.
Either this or the Big10 take USC, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Kansas.
Somehow have this lead to something happening with the ACCs deal with ESPN (in the name of having their chosen conference the SEC respond appropriately to this new massive move) to free Clemson, FSU, Miami, VT, and NCST to join the SEC with OKST. Then allowing UNC, Duke, UVA, GT, and ND to join the Big10 in a second expansion. That’s 22 for the SEC and 26 for the Big10 so imbalanced program count, but somewhat even mega conferences to be their own league of 48.

I've read on Twitter the GOR the ACC is non enforceable or wouldn't hold up in court. Have you heard this?
Posted on 8/13/21 at 9:40 pm to ShowMeHorns
I haven’t, but that would certainly be a help for my own selfish desires.

I could see an ACC and Big10 merger but why add the PAC12?
They should merge with the B12
They should merge with the B12

If the Big10 actually merged with another conference it would be the PAC12 due to the prevalence of AAU schools in the conference. But they don’t need to merge, they can take the AAU schools they want in the same fashion the SEC took Texas and OU. The tv deals run out on a similar timeframe.

10 years of Mizzou dominance in the SEC has really got them baws runnin' scared!
Now that the SEC is the big boy league every one wants to join where Mizzou has made it just mean more!

If I were leading an alliance between the Big 10, PAC-12, and ACC, I would institute a dynamic scheduling where after the first few games, like teams play like teams. That would create a lot of late season games between the best of the teams.
That could rejuvenate interest in those conferences.
Honestly, this would be by far their best path forward.

Regarding why the Pac-12, ACC and Big Ten would go this route, Matt Fortuna of The Athletic explained the logic.
"The NCAA announced the formation of a constitution committee, with the hopes of expediting a proposed governance model. It is there, in voting power, where an alliance among the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 would really show those three conferences’ power—41 votes to the 16 votes of the expanded SEC."
This is where they miss the point of SEC expansion. The NCAA does not control College footballl and while not control anything after NIL. That is the reason for the expansion.
