re: Why hasn't Auburn retired Cam's #2 yet?

Pat Sullivan and Bo Jackson had their numbers retired. Of course they may have actually attended a class or two while they were there.

Then please explain why the number hasn't been retired.
Maybe they require that you must spend more than 9 months on campus to qualify for such an honor.
First game of next season sucks for me. I graduated from Clemson, but my oldest currently attends Auburn, so someone is going to be 0-1.
Apparently we're blaming one QB for scoring 40 points and losing and crediting another QB for scoring 22/28 pts and winning.
Cam didn't play defense or ST. Neither does DW. He put up 40 pts without any gimmies or short fields against a defense that may have 4 first rounders in this year's draft. 400 yds throwing and 70 yds rushing, completing td passes to a freshman walkon that was being covered by a 5 star. It's not DW'a fault they didn't win.
No, but neither does the fact that one won a championship and the other hasn't.

Cam got it done and won a title, Watson hasn't.
In fairness to Watson, he put up 40 points and lost against an Alabama defense which was head and shoulders better than Oregon's defense, to which Cam only had to score 20.

We played Auburn in regular season games 3 years in a row.

lemson can dominate the ACC but they wouldn't make it through the SEC, we were knocking cats out left and right. They'd never make it through the SEC healthy but all they have to do is make it through the ACC and win two big games.
What makes Clemson players different from players in the SEC? Clemson shares a state with USC and is an hours drive to UGA. They recruit from the same pool of talent as these schools.
He was the DC of that Clemson defense that gave up 70 to West Virginia.

Yeah, I mean after the arse-whooping Clemson put on us this year (won by 5) in our worst season in 15 years ... yeah, we scared. lulz
Oh please. Clemson was up by 18 in that one with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd qtr. They let off the gas a little bit knowing that they had a championship game the following week. You were down by 12 with 5 seconds left and scored a garbage TD on the last play to help you think Clemson "barely" won. Lol

ACC people posting on an SEC board is the definition of petty jealousy.
I come to this board because it's one of the most diverse and active boards anywhere. And I agree that the SEC is the best football conference with the most active fanbases. You are lucky to be part of it, especially since your contribution to the success of this league has been minimal. You were cheap and available when the league needed another team, and I suspect that a significant portion of the SEC would trade us for you straight up if the opportunity presented itself. But we are where we are in a lesser league and that's all we can do. You can bitch all you want about our schedule, but I don't see you or your fellow USCe brethren petitioning the SEC to bring us in to level the playing field for you.

re: Is Spiller in the doghouse?
Posted by PVnRT on 11/8/15 at 6:39 pm to Mr.Perfect
I get it now. I just checked the stats. MI was in beastmode today with 2.3 yds per carry. Spiller only had 4.0 yd per carry on his 2 touches. There was no reason to give Spiller any more touches.
Is Spiller in the doghouse?

3 total touches while Ingram has 26.

The best QB Spiller has ever played for is R. Fitzpatrick. Let that sink in for a moment. He should add a lot of value with Brees and SP.
re: CJ Spiller will go down as one of the best backs in Saints history

Had he been drafted by the Saints, this might be a legitimate conversation. However, he's 27, so let's just hope he can provide a solid contribution to this team.
