I'm sick of these few black and white analysts who say that it's a travesty that Gill was not hired at Auburn. He has a better record than Chiznik etc.... If I own a business and have to hire someone, I don't want other people or the government telling me that I "have" to interview this race or this person.... What a joke. What ever happened to freedom? Just because Gill wasn't hired by AU doesn't mean that AU is racist. It's aggravating to hear this crap.

Yeah, I'm sure they're racist when about 80% of the team is of minority color. If they want to play the game of discrimination then let's make it a law that 14% of the coaches are black...but that also 14% of the players on the team are black. I wouldn't have a problem with that.

ESPN pushing the "race" issue big time on Outside the Lines and they reported "two coaches in the SEC said Gill would not be hired because he was married to a white woman." Then the guy proceeded to call the white woman the PC term "caucasian" later in the report.
PC at it's worst!
Oh yeah, let me add that whoever the two SEC coaches are that said that, they are the racists, not AU!!!!
That is all....

I hope that Obama's election might signal the beginning of end of this period when race has been at the center of our national discourse. Race has clearly not been a factor in his choices for staff and cabinet.
That's probably wishful thinking on my part.
