I don't think either Demps or Rainey will go over 100 yards individually, but I think they will together.
But yeah, Brantley has to have a good day in order to beat Alabama, and I don't see that happening.
Either that or the UF defense has to play out of its mind.

Good question. Espn stated earlier that he probably wouldn't play. Has Saban said anything?
Yeah, Saban has said that he probably isn't gonna play. I'd be surprised if he comes in at all.
here's where saban talks about it
Pretty big bummer. Hopefully Jerrell Harris does a good job filling in

These guys were track players trying to participate in football.

Mosely came out early against Arkansas and the defense really didn't miss a beat. Saban has so many good (interchangeable) LB on this team that I think he can withstand that loss effectively. I think Demps and Rainey have struggled with Alabama's size on the DL and in the LB corps.

Their Red zone offense is better than Alabama's.
Florida has scored 18 times in 19 trips with 11 total TD's (1 int on the year).
Also, Caleb Sturgis is 11-11 on the year kicking FG's.
Alabama is 16 of 18 in the red zone with only 9 TD's and 7 FG.
Alabama is 7-10 FG on the year.
Florida is more consistent in the red zone, and they have the better field goal kicking.
Yeah, Slayer, but you're conveniently overlooking the fact that all of the defenses Florida has played against have been horrible. National rankings of both teams' opponents in scoring defenses:
Alabama:
Penn State...10
Arkansas...31
Kent State...100
N. Texas...110
Average...63rd
Florida:
Kentucky...46
Tennessee...62
FAU...112
UAB...114
Average...83rd
So to say that Florida's red zone offense, against those putrid defenses, is better than Alabama's is, well, pretty pointless.

OK, #1, there wasn't a very big difference in the stats you just posted.
#2, when you get in the red zone, no excuses, you have to execute, and Florida has executed more consistently then Alabama.
Neither team has converted enough TD's, but Florida has converted more.
And Florida's FG kicking is clearly stronger.
And giving me those stats is pointless... Who has Penn State played with a good offense? No one. The only decent team they played clobbered them.
And Arkansas? They played three patsies, got severely challenged by Troy, and then rolled over against Alabama - who couldn't even get a TD from the 1 on 3 carries against them.
So the stats you post are just as misleading if not more so.

Well, he was the head coach, not the OC.
Even so, he had 3 very strong offensive years. If he had the defense Florida has now with those teams then ND would have been a top 5 or 10 team all 3 years.

I'm also pretty sure that the athletes at ND don't match up at all compared to the ones he has at UF...

This game just has that feeling about it. It should be fun

Only reason I think this is a game is because it is in the swamp, Muschamp is Saban's pupil, and we just came off a big win against Arky. If UF doesn't take advantage of 1 and 2, and we don't let 3 affect us then I see this game going about like the arky game.

Exactly, UF doesn't have the QB or WRs to run his offense. Didn't they pass all the time?

against UT he was like 1 for 6 of passes more than 10 yards down field.
This is an interesting stat I think. What is overlooked here is that 2 of those 5 incompletions were actually caught balls. On one of them Thompson was JUST out of bounds (by a heel)and on the other Demps ran out of bounds and came back in to catch the ball. The funny thing about that Demps play was that I think it may have been Brantley's best throw of the year as he dropped it in perfectly over Demps' shoulder in stride. Against UK he also hit a beauty of a pass to the TE over the middle, again getting it just over the coverage and dropping it in to the receiver.
I'm not saying Brantley is a machine here or anything, but I feel like he is definitely playing better than some of the raw stats show.
