No bye for 11-2 Bama, but they get to host.

I think that’s part of the duality of why they bumped us to #9. A 2nd win over the same Top 5 team to win the SEC would/should be enough to bump us to #4, IMO.

You could be right. I mean #5-#9 are all idle, so it could be enough to make the jump. And beating the #3 team would be impressive and could make a strong case.

Of course, that’s all moot if we lose.

I can only hope, but Alabama has had our number for awhile now. Should be a good game. I'm looking forward to it.

Most interesting thing about Bama winning is whether they would keep Georgia above Ole Miss. There is a huge difference between the 6 seed and 7 seed.

Georgia is staying above Ole Miss. I was listening to an Ole Miss reporter on the radio yesterday, and he said Ole Miss isn't going to jump Georgia.

Bama is not getting a bye if they win. plus they are not beating Georgia to begin with.

Oh, what a relief. I thought there was a chance OM could jump UGA but now I am feeling better because an OM reporter on the radio has opined otherwise.

Who would care at that point if you are not a Bama or Dawg in the SEC you don’t matter.

why do people keep repeating this shite, the spread is like 2.5 points. Almost a toss up. And they've already beat them so we know they're capable.

The more I think about it, the more I think Bama gets a bye with a win. People say "they won't move that much" without thinking about it. They'll jump above OU, A&M, Ole Miss and Georgia for sure. So that leaves Oregon.

Oregon seems like a lame duck there at five with a pretty mild resume. Even worse for Oregon, two of their conference foes would also already be getting BYEs. That's gonna work against them.

Big 10 winner
Tech
Big 10 loser
Bama

Is how I see it playing out if Tech and Bama win

Jump from 9 to 4? That's a whole lot of teams they would be jumping.

The more I look at this and what I think the committee's thinking will be. If Bama wins they will move to either #7 or #8 getting a home game (Don't see the committee putting them over any 1 loss team in front of them except A@M possibly) and Georgia will remain a top 4 team with a bye week.
